Unwind at this breathtaking beachfront house nestled into native vegetation and palm trees, situated at an off the beaten path area in Placencia, less than a mile away from the airstrip. Three decks give you a very large outside living area to unwind, barbeque, sunbath and swim in the infinity pool. The living and two bedrooms are clustered around the large upstairs deck, from where you can watch the sunrise. From the rooftop deck, you can oversee the entire peninsula and enjoy sunset cocktails.

The structure of Slow Loris was conceptualized and built in the late 1990s. It initially consisted of three small houses on one elevate platform, surrounded by the native vegetation of the beach. It was completely remodeled with addition of living space and an infinity pool with deck in 2022. The character of the house was maintained, providing the guest with a feeling of an open space house embedded in the natural vegetation of the beach.

Room by Room Description
The main deck is elevated and accessible via stairs from the beach level. It is large enough that one can easily spend all day just lounging on the deck. Connected to the main deck are three separate small houses, which consist of two bedrooms both with AC and a living room with kitchen which is also fully airconditioned. The bedrooms are spacious with queen and double size beds and individual bathrooms. Both bedrooms have large windows, allowing views of the lush vegetation, beach, and Caribbean sea as well as AC for a comfortable nights sleep. The living room is a large common space area with state of the art kitchen and large doors that flow straight onto the large outside deck. From the living room, you have access to the stairs leading to the roof top deck, from where you can oversee the entire peninsula and enjoy sunset cocktails. The extra studio also has AC for those warm nights if required. The studio has a porch that is leveled with the beach, steps away from the water. The studio cannot be rented separate from this listing, so the property is always private and you will be the only ones in the house.

Outdoor Spaces Description
The house is designed for outside living. There are three decks (roof top, main deck, pool deck), that allow for maximal relaxation. On the roof top deck you can enjoy the sunset and views of the entire peninsula. On the main deck, you can spend time in the hammocks, read a book in the shaded seating areas, or entertain guests on the large table. Downstairs is the pool deck with ample space, lounging chairs, barbeque and infinity pool. There is minimal to no foot traffic at this beach in Placencia. Enjoy the new stand up paddle boards to explore the ocean at your leisure.

Location description
Slow loris is located in an off the beaten path part of the Placencia beach, yet it is less than a mile from the local airstrip. The town of Placencia with it’s picturesque shops, restaurants and bars is 2 miles south and Seine Bight, a local community with infrastructure for grocery shopping is a little over a mile to the north. The beach has nearly no foot traffic, the water is calm and commonly you will enjoy a constant breeze and can watch pelicans and other birds dive into the water.

    Property is stunning and well maintained. You won’t find a better view- no need for beach bars- have a drink on your own deck and soak up that view! The Flying Pig is walking distance for drinks, food and fun. Beds were comfy and the rooms clean and plenty of towels. Outdoor seating is lacking- for a space that sleeps 6- there is only three pool chairs, and one is broken. No seating on that gorgeous beach. There are security cameras on site that aren’t disclosed in the listing. I was assured by the host they aren’t operational - but they are connected to power and have green lights- so I’m not sure I believe it. Normally not an issue, but because of the house layout, the deck where one is located is like the main living space between the bedrooms and kitchen. The deck is very private with it being up a floor and the gorgeous landscape and vegetation- so I discovered the camera after stepping out of the bedroom not fully clothed- just be aware. I don’t think there is a prettier more private spot in the area- if you’re coming to Placencia, just book it!
