Peaceful retreat w/ heatable pool & garden

We really enjoyed the pool, garden and BBQ area. Perfect for relaxing and spending time together.

A great place for a group holiday. Plenty of space and the games area was a nice bonus for everyone.

Spacious house with all the amenities but some things and decorations are outdated. We were not aware that there is a big construction site behind. Lots of dust and noise during weekdays. Neither expected nor warned at all.

We had a great time at this lovely villa, which offered plenty of space for our family. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the outdoor area with sun loungers, the heated pool and the games area was perfect for everyone. The location was one of the best features — close to restaurants, shops and only a short walk from the beach. At the end of our stay, we also enjoyed having access to the company’s services, including boat trips, transfers and the Algarbe restaurant.

I will start by saying, Portugal is amazing and Carvoiero is everything we wanted it to be. The town is a bit smaller and quieter than some of the surrounding towns with all the beauty and charm we were hoping for.In terms of the property, the house itself did look exactly as pictured but we did face a few challenges:-Construction: While the yard is beautiful it doesnt have quite the same peaceful experience implied by the photos in the listing. There is a very large development going up right behind the property which both impacts the beautiful view and creates for a less than serene setting. (see photos attached)-Air Conditioning: We hit Portugal during a significant heat wave. And while the house said it was air conditioned I should note there is one air conditioner in each of the bedrooms (none in the main spaces) and we could only get 2 out of 4 air conditioners to work during our stay.-Communications/Red Flags: On the AC issues, we did flag this for Algarve Vacations (the listing agent). They did respond promptly and sent several handymen/techs over but no one could fix the AC issues. So during our stay 2/4 families were extremely uncomfortable and didnt sleep well. Five days after we departed we were also informed that our security deposit is being held due to “damages/breakage”, but we cannot get any information or specifics as to the damages. And I was told they have 2 weeks to let us know what the alleged damages are. I am quite frustrated by this trip.

The villa provided a perfect space for relaxation and spending time together. Everything was well arranged. Dining at Algarbe restaurant added a lovely touch to our holiday.

Overall we had a lovely stay here. The villa is well equipped, clean and spacious. The location was good, a short walk to local shops and bars and not much further to the town and beach. The pool was fantastic. A few minor tweaks would make the villa perfect, fixing a few light fittings, updating the outdoor table tennis and swing set and replacing the odd broken outdoor floor tiles.

Our group of 10 had a wonderful stay at Villa San Juan. The villa is very well equipped and the layout works perfectly for families with children. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the outdoor space was ideal for relaxing and having meals together. The kids loved the pool and garden, while the adults enjoyed the peace and privacy of the area. Being so close to restaurants, shops and Carvoeiro Beach made everything more convenient. We also explored some golf courses nearby. A great place to stay in the Algarve!

We had a fantastic time at Villa San Juan. The house is very spacious and ideal for large families or groups, with comfortable bedrooms and multiple bathrooms that made everything easier. The outdoor area is amazing, the pool was clean and well-maintained, and we really enjoyed the barbecue area and the games space with snooker and table tennis. The location is also a big plus, just a short walk to the centre of Carvoeiro and the beach. It was great to have everything nearby without needing to drive all the time. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Mari Serrano, great location and very nice place. Very spacious and clean, good walking distance to stores and restaurants. Our only thing was that it would have been nice to have some standard condiments there to start with or a little welcome package as we have had at other Vrbo’s that we have rented. Otherwise a great holiday!
