Stayed Jan 5, 2026The Host was great to deal with, the manager could use a little motivational education. But I must say she was very pleasant and helpfull to deal with.

Stayed Mar 23, 2025We loved our stay at Casa Bonita. My teen boys loved the pool and the location was absolutely perfect for our family. We aren't resort people, and were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to visit. The decor, pool area, and overall vibe were better than expected. The photos do not do this place justice! Chris was great with communication and the manager who lives in the apartment on-site was there to check us in when we requested. A few things to note about the home that may help future guests:- The kitchen is very basic in utensils, pans, etc so if you are big into cooking adjust your expectations accordingly.- There are going to be mosquitos in the main living area, so expect to use bug spray while you are there to avoid getting bites.- The location is in a busy neighborhood (traffic) so expect loud car sounds into the very late night, and very loud birds in the early morning. Bring earplugs to get a good night's sleep.- The king beds were all very comfortable / softer. The queen beds were extremely, extremely firm. Frequent traveller tip: buy a thin camping air mattress and bring it with you to add a soft layer to any firm bed.Overall, this place is magical and would be amazing for a large (or small) family, or group of friends/couples. The layout, bedrooms, and pool area are ideal for any type of group. If you're on the fence, just book it! You won't regret it.

Stayed Dec 22, 2024The location is awesome. It is very walkable. There is a restaurant a block away (Macaws) with a bunch of expats and NFL so we could get a taste of America for football Sunday but all of the rest of our days were spent walking around town, the market, and the beach. There was also a cafe just down the other street (Casa Hindie) with an amazing matcha pistashio pastry and even gluten free muffins. Then there is the public market with tons of foods, clothes, and junk. And a closer town square lined with restaurants. We never had to make reservations for anything except Christmas eve dinner. The closest beach, Atlas, does not have vendors like most Mexican beaches so it was very relaxing and only a block or two away. We spent one day at a bigger beach up north by a mile or so that had more things. But most of the people at the beach seemed to be locals so there was much more food and far fewer aggressive junk sellers (like you see in Cabo). We also went to a baseball game to see the Venados. It was super fun and there was tons of cheering and music and food. The neighborhood felt very safe both night and day. I even felt comfortable letting my teenagers walk around on their own. The house is spacious with plenty of bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed including coffee. My only complaints were that the pool was a little cold (but we were there in winter afterall) and we got lots of bug bites. But neither of those things stopped us from having a great family trip.

Stayed Aug 10, 2024The house was as advertised. We actually arrived to town early and asked if we could leave our luggage in the house early. Chris was ok with this and very accommodating. The house is only air conditioned in the bedrooms, which is not a problem. Once you arrive onsite, you want to enjoy the city, the beach etc not sitting in the house. The location is only 1 block from the ocean and restaurants. You can take a cab ( truck with benches) anywhere along the beach for I believe 150 pesos. Also it it very close to center and market ( 15 minute walk. Overall I highly recommend the house. the private pool was very nice to relax in when finishing the day on the town. This house will be on my short list when staying in Mazatlan.

Stayed Jul 25, 2024Place was awesome for large group. Rooms had nice AC and really helped sleeping through night since mazatlan tends to get warm/humid. Great place for large groups of people. We comfortably slept 11 adult men in this place.

Stayed Jul 13, 2024We stayed here July 13-20 in 2024 Be aware that this house has no AC in the main area like kitchen and living room so it is very very hot with lots of mosquitoes in there. Only bedrooms have small units. The location is great and a lot of room we were a group of 19 we had 3 people sleeping on air mattress and it worked good. But we do not plan on coming back due to AC.
