Oceanfront W/ Beach Access in Gated Neighbourhood

Beautiful location with truly unbelievable views. Early mornings were a highlight—watching the sunrise over the ocean with a cup of coffee and hoping to spot whales. Janet, the in-house chef, prepared excellent meals with authentic Mexican flavors that elevated the stay.Most days were spent relaxing by the infinity pool and enjoying Huatulco’s hot, dry weather. In the evenings, Santa Cruz and La Crucecita were just a 5–10 minute taxi ride away (about 150 pesos), making it easy to explore town.The property is immersed in nature, so expect to see wildlife such as birds, bats, iguanas, and coatis. Ants helped keep other pests in check, but dining under the cabana can occasionally come with bat droppings, so eating at the table is best. The cabana provides great shade and comfortable seating.The home is older and could use maintenance. Our rooms were nice, but some areas felt off-limits. The downstairs TV room was musty, Wi-Fi worked outdoors but not in the rooms, and orientation could have been better. The oven didn’t work, some outlets were nonfunctional, and we also experienced a noticeable earthquake.This property is better suited for adults seeking peace and quiet. Beach access requires descending 247 steps, but the public beach below was great for swimming and relaxing. Overall, it’s a unique and tranquil place with incredible views, as long as expectations are managed.

Just 3 things I thought I would point out. 1.) we had arranged for dinner on our first night, I sent follow up emails to confirm with confirmations sent back to me saying we were good to go but upon our arrival the chef knew nothing about it and told us she doesn't work past 4pm (we were planning to do several dinners at the house) 2.) There was a loss of personal connection when I wasn't able to email a person directly and had to use the generic email address. 3.) The key to beach access was missing for a few days and we booked the house for the beach access. Eventually a new one was made but a little frustrating upon arrival.

The cook was fabulous! She had a wonderful supper ready for us. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the home, the pool, the location right on the ocean, and our cook. She took time each day to ask our food preferences and we enjoyed every meal she made. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 teenagers. We fit comfortably and the rooms were very comfortable. Most of our time was spent in the outdoor living area and the pool. The pool was maintained daily and we enjoyed the water and the view. We would definitely recommend this home for your stay in Huatulco. It was just like the pictures and t won’t disappoint!

Reviewer Comments: WE SPENT A WEEK AT THIS PARADISE OF A HOME.Secluded in its hilltop with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean,you can’t stop thinking and feeling grateful to have arrived in such spectacular place.The arquitecture, decor and details around the house really feel exquisite and tasteful.From the unique wooden trunks that hold the palapa to the ebony floors embedded with sea shells and the colors throughout the house one feels invited to relax, reset, be pampered and disconnect.The food was so good!!! Chilaquiles in the morning were a family favorite, probably the best we’ve ever had.Fresh fish cooked in so many ways with a Mexican fare were delightful and so delicious. Sipping margaritas by the pool and having fresh “aguas” was a perfect combination for young ones and adults! The air conditioned rooms with delicious,comfortable beds and linens were the perfect space to rest and recharge after days enjoying the sun. The house staff was extremely helpful and wanting to please our needs and desires. We ventured out in the a couple of times but our favorite thing was being amd enjoying casa be cool.I TOTALLY recommend this house for anyone that wants to treat themselves to the very best in every way. Already planning to come back next year!!

The access to the sea seems as if it was our private beach. I’d definitely want to return with my family.
