Stayed Mar 3, 2024Let me start off by saying Caprice is a wonderfull host, doing her best to resolve every problem in a timely fashion. I would love to stay at any property managed by her. Any property other than this one, that is. If you rent the property you can only use the large main room and the two bedrooms downstairs. Everything else is locked for owner use only. The main room is gloomy and cavelike, as it has no access to direct daylight. The only daylight coming in is from a door leading to the covered patio, so you are using all the lights you can switch on all the time. The main room also has no A/C, so it is not only dark and gloomy, it is also hot and stuffy. The whole place is in serious need of renovation (and a serious attitude adjustment by the owner). Main room - most of the tiles under the large table are broken, shifting around and squeking. The grounds around the pool are stone slabs cemented together. Originally very uneven, they are now falling apart, so you always get shards, cement and pieces of stone under your feet. There are some stairs leading to the sea from the property itself. Most of the original woodem stairs have dissapeared, so you need to use as stairs the thin metal bands, quite slippery and dangerous. Owner attitude... upon arrival, i counted 8 light bulbs that are not working in the main room, and half the lights in the gazebo. Caprice sent a handyman asap, who came, took notes and pics...and never did anything, because the owner wouldn't authorise it

Stayed Aug 19, 2023The house was beautiful and so was the weather during our stay. It was everything you would expect from an island home. The bedrooms were well air-conditioned and comfortable. The common areas of the house were very hot and there was little to no air movement but thats what you will get from an open air island house when the wind isnt blowing. We enjoyed the visits from local wildlife in the morning and the vast amount of sea life and coral diving from the ocean access. The maintenance on the house left a little to be desired.The rear pool area was a bit unforgiving on bare feet and the landscaping in that area and around the house was a bit overgrown. Inside, the roof leaked the one day we had rain and the dishwasher didnt work (and didnt get handled because of shortcomings by the management company) but those issues are minor. I hope the owner handles the issues with the property manager so this can be a 5 star home

Stayed Jun 17, 2023We have been to Bonaire about 15 times in the past 13 years. Some rentals are great and some are just so so. This one had an astounding pool and patio area and easy access into the water for diving, an outdoor shower and a place to rinse tanks and hang gear to dry. BUT the inside of the house was dark and hot and you could not see the water from the house. The upstairs is not available to use. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms had air conditioning thank goodness. The kitchen was very small and dark and in dire need of upgrades. The microwave oven did not work nor could we get the gas grill to work. All in all, I would give this home 3 stars and most of the time I give 5.

Stayed Mar 18, 202310 rated on location. Only knock: House does not have a lot of windows open to the patios where the magnificent view is. If you're a diver this backdoor pier to jumping into instant diving paradise supercedes anything about the house.

Stayed Mar 3, 2023We visit Bonaire to snorkel and relax in each others company. This property has a great outdoor space which enabled us to enjoy a morning coffee surrounded by the assorted birds chattering away. We snorkelled off the ladder when some of the beach entries were quite rough and right off the terrace photographed a Southern Stingray, large Rainbow Parrot Fish, Ocean Trigger Fish, Green Turtles and so much more. One morning we had an Osprey fly close by and another a Pelican just raised himself above the wall as he was flying south let alone the assortment of Frigate birds. Indoors the tech is good and works, the ceiling fans and meshed windows and doors (including the front door) give an excellent through flow of air so you do not need the air con on much and the kitchen is well equipped with assorted sizes of pots and pans and crockery - we really appreciated the bean to cup coffee maker.. The bed was very comfortable as was the sofa and it was a delight to holiday in such a special home.
