Oceanfront Hilton Head Vacation Rental

Villa fit our family well and nice house supplies given on the counter kitchen stocked with everything I needed to cook.Minor comments: outside stairs to the top patio to see the ocean as there’s a dune in front of the main level. Heat and cooling a bit touchy but there was a cold front during our stay. All Patios were very sandy so I swept them. Minor resort problem morning off checkout and resort helped and comped the 3 hours we had issue. Loved Palmetto dunes resort! Go the the old dunes house and get there fish tacos!

The villa was very clean, updated, had vaulted ceilings that made it feel open and spacious, and my favorite is the spiral staircase outside leading up to the second floor huge balcony with really nice outdoor lounge chairs facing the ocean! It was very relaxing and I am looking forward to staying there again!

Had to sleep in 2nd bedroom. Otherwise a perfect place to be. Front desk especially helpful.

Only one of the three bathroom was very dated and in poor working order. And the upstairs deck had 2 umbrellas that were both broken plus dirty moldly seat and lounge chair cushions. Clean the cushions regularly and get new umbrellas and it would be an ideal stay!

Reviewer Comments: We have vacationed in Palmetto Dunes on Hilton Head Island for well over 25 years and this is the first time we did not stay in a condo community. We planned a quick trip to celebrate my husband's birthday with our family and it was the best decision to book #6 Beach Villas. The property is very well maintained and the furnishings and amenities are top notch. location at the beach and Dunes House is a big plus, as is parking and the nearby pool. Would absolutely reccomend and hope to be back in the future!

The closet doors didn't work well on their tracks or the track wasn't attached. A patio door wasn't secured on the bottom. A shower mechanism was faulty;

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First lets start with the AC unit in the Family Room/Kitchen. Unit was not working. Lots of descriptions about not setting it below 70 (which we didn't), we would turn the unit off, wait awhile then turn it on, unit would cycle for less than 5 minutes then shut off. We didn't bother making a service call because they obviously know it is malfunctioning (because of the notes), but are not willing to do something about it.Next, in the kitchen cupboard close to the stove, all the glasses were covered with dust!The walk-in shower attached to the other bedroom with a king bed (not the owners suite) has black mold all around the lip above the seat.The lounge chairs on the deck are in desperate need of attention! They need to be cleaned!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have now stayed in 3 different Beach Villas at Palmetto Dunes and Beach Villa #6 is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. The Villa has been recently updated and has all the amenities and comfort you could hope for. You can’t get any closer to the beach than the Beach Villas. We can’t wait to get back to HHI and this is where we will stay.
