Nido del Merlo 11 In San Gimignano, Tuscany

We could not be happier with our stay at Nido del Merlo.Patricia, Camilo and Maria were so welcoming and made our stay delightful. We also participated in one of there special meals, the food and atmosphere was the best on our 2 week trip.

The property is beautiful but it is the warm hospitality of Patrizia and Camillo that made our stay so very memorable. They went above and beyond and provided us with an authentic Tuscan experience. Their thoughtfulness and generosity was remarkable!

What a wonderful time my cousins, sister and friends had at this VRBO in San Gimignano! Our hostess was outstanding! There was food and Italian delicacies awaiting us upon our arrival. The views were amazing. I can only hope that we can return there sometime in the future!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house in Tuscany, with a stunning view over the hills and San Gimignano. The welcome was very warm, friendly, and thoughtful: we were even greeted with a welcome gift, delicious Tuscan pastries, and a dinner on our arrival. A small downside was the comfort of the bedrooms: the mattresses could probably be replaced, as we could feel the springs a little. Also, there was a small leak in one of the showers, and we had to wait to access another bathroom. Despite these details, Patrizia’s kindness and attentiveness made our stay truly enjoyable. This is definitely an address I would recommend. Many thanks to Patrizia!

What an amazing place. Beautiful location surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. Breathtaking views. The house is very clean, everything we needed was there. The owners were very accommodating. They also offer cooking classes which we did and it was so much fun and 4 hours of cooking and eating and drinking wine and beer! We very much recommend this place!!

Camillo and his Mom were great hosts. We got lost finding the Villa and Camillo came to get us. Upon check-in there was bread , cheese , a few bottles of wine and Prosecco plus an array of baked good waiting for us. During the week they brought over fresh sauce and an appetizer. One evening they made dinner for us ( we paid for it) and it was amazing. Location was fantastic. The only down side was that there a lot of lantern flys and fruit flies upstairs in the bedrooms.. we killed a lot!

The villa was fabulous! All of the little touches. All of the standard requirements. The welcome offerinfs. The departing gifts. Such a friendly family managing the place. Cental to multiple towns and restaurants. Youbare out in the country but onlyb10 minites from grocery stores and restaurants and cafes and bars and more.

We stayed at this property for 4 nights in September. The family was gracious and inviting. Camillo took care of every request efficiently. The grounds around the home are amazing and the views breathtaking. We will definitely be back.

Our stay was exceptional and the host family were amazing. The house was lovely and everything we needed. It was so lovely to be gifted with so many lovely treats. We would highly recommend.

My family of 7 really enjoyed this villa. Camillo and his mother, Patricia run the villa. They are very kind and welcoming. We felt right at home immediately. When we arrived they had left us bread and salami and baked goods lots of little snacks! The pool was perfect for the hot August weather. The villa is very homey and comfortable. It's location is excellent. You can get to many places in under 30 minutes. We also booked one of Patricia's dinner menus. The food and the service was excellent. I would stay here again.

Overall a good stay. The house is a bit quirky as its quite old but overall in good condition. It definitely needs to be renovated though to bring it up to date. Unfortunately the beds are super old box springs. The first night we go no sleep at all due to the first mattress we slept on being hard as a rock. The next night my wife and I tried a different bedroom and the mattress was so old the middle dipped completely and was super squeaky. We had to sleep with a pillow between us so we didn't roll into each other. The third and 4th night we just slept in different bedrooms so we could get a bit of sleep. Not ideal for vacation. Overall the family who lives there and manages the property were incredibly nice, the AC worked well and we generally had a good stay. We loved the pool. Oh, their dog barking at 4am wasn't ideal each night. But to end on a positive note the location and view is amazing. just 15 minutes from San Gimignano and with a killer view. I feel bad leaving this review, but I guess it is what it is.

Overall great stay. We really enjoyed the Villa. Patrizia and Camillo were excellent hosts and the two dinners that we had them prepare for us were outstanding . Highly recommended.

We just finished our stay. The views and the pool are amazing. The family made us a great pizza dinner too and were so warm and friendly. Would love to go back!
