A very relaxing stay, away from hustle and bustle. Near stunning beaches of Mylopotamos and Fakistra.

We had a great stay at this villa, and really enjoyed it's absolutely amazing natural settings. The house has a true home feel to it and is perfecly equipped. We loved spending time in it, especially on the terrace and every moment there was perfect for us. We definitely recommend this property!

We had a great time in this beautiful house located on a hill overlooking the sea. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Owners weren’t there but responded very quickly to all questions we had. Great secluded beaches nearby and breathtaking views. Hope to come back one day.

We had a great week at Pelion. The house is very cozy, comfortable and very clean, which made us feel at home. It has a privileged location with beautiful sea views and a lot of vegetation around it. The owners were very kind to receive us, as in general are all the Greeks with whom we communicate. In addition they left us some fruit, vegetables and other things which was very thankful. Very recommendable.

The house is nicely furnished, clean, and has a well-equipped kitchen and a nice garden. The view from the spatious terrace to the sea is great. The village of Xourichti is rather small but shops are in nearby villages. The climate on the eastern side of Pilion was very pleasant (not too hot) even in August due to the extensive forrests surrounding the village. The owners are very friendly.

It was the third time we rented the villa. It was again the same as expected.Quiet, comfortable and also everything nearby. The owners welcomed us and tried to help with a water problem, but it was a problem in the network and was not simply to restore. They did what was possible and did not effect our stay at the villa. We will come back sooner or later

Review: We had a very pleasant stay at the villa. The villa is located at about 2000ft altitude, which provided nice climate and fresh nights in late June, without the need for air-conditioning. It was comfortable for our group of 5 people: the living room and two bedrooms can easily accomodate 2 people each. We had two additional people on our last night, and even that was OK, although one of the children had to sleep on the floor that night. The villa is very quiet, and well constructed. The interior design is very pleasant, with earthy tones and quality stone work tiles throughout, and thick slate roof and hard stucco on the exterior. Its is located within 15min drive from the closest beaches, but other beaches are also accessible within 25min, by car. The garden was beautiful, with lavender, lilac and other nice flowers, so the air is permeated with a very nice smell of flowers, which was quite stunning. The landscaping feels like a mountain retreat, and the climate and vegetation are different than at the beach. There is a view of the Aegean, but since it is very high up sometimes clouds and moisture produce a blurry see horizon, but not always. At night we could see many constellations of stars, which the kids loved, and on few days it was clear enough to see the lights of Halkidiki. The homeowner welcomed us nicely at the villa, which was a good day of driving from Athens. The arrival feeling is nice, because everything in Greece looked very dry and yellow, until the last 15km of driving, when everything around us became lush and green. There was Ouzo and fresh local well-water waiting for us in the fridge. Pelion beaches are quite stunning. Do not hesitate to ask the owner how to get to less accessible beaches, because the main beaches (Milopotamos and Agios Ioanis) can be quite busy and noisy. For example, Kalamaki beach was beautidul with nice stone and rock-climbing for the kids, and even had a water well with drinking water on the beach, followed by the dinner at the village taverna with home style cooking and spectacular views. The closest beach from the villa Limnonas has a dirt road, but we got to it driving a mercedes sedan, even though it is not recommended. We went to that beach twice, because its was super clean, had a small taverna on the beach, and plenty of space for kids and adults.

Impeccably clean, lovingly furnished villa with all modern conveniences surrounded by a simple but beautiful garden set in a wooded hillside. As soon as you enter it is obvious that the property genuinely is the owners second home - not some soulless holiday let. We were met by the owners at the local taverna, who then gave us a detailed tour of the villa. The pictures and descriptions on the website are accurate and current (2012). The villa will happily accommodate two couples (although there is just the 1 main bathroom). The property is sat between two other villas, built by the current owners to the same high standards but now owned by Greek families who seemingly use them as 'second homes'. Located in the hamlet of Xourihta, well away from the road (up a steep but paved track) the villa is a 5-10 minute drive to Tsangarada and its multiple tavernas (depending on which 'parish' of the elongated village you visit). Strongly advise that you follow the owners' recommendations regarding tavernas - they were all spot on and each received return visits. Set on the heavily forested (with chesnut, beech & plane trees) eastern hillside of the mountainous Pelion, the villa and its terraces are cool in the evenings (with no mosquitos!) - we slept soundly every night. There are several of the peninsulas small, pebbly/gravel coves about 15-25 minute drive down the hairpin roads synonymous with the region. Each of them are delightful and peaceful. We thoroughly recommend the villa to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in a beautiful setting away from the summer hordes. On this side of the Pelion you'll mostly meet greeks, with some french & germans and the odd 'brit' thrown in. Its the Greece that many of us may have imagined got 'developed' years ago. If you're a walker/rambler the villa would be a great base during the spring and autumn, it's a short stroll to several of the old donkey paths that criss-cross the peninsula. As a benchmark, Kate & I live in central London, are fully 'paid up' urbanites who also enjoy walking and (off road) biking at the weekends.
