Modern villa in prime location with fantastic views and sunsets

The house has beautiful views and is renovated with modern finishes. The house was very clean. The kitchen is well equipped though the frying pans should be replaced. There is only one parking spot. The greatest concern is the entrance stairway. Three flights of stairs with two turns and no handrails. The steps are finished in ceramic, which makes them slippery if wet. These stairs are dangerous. I would not recommend renting to senoirs or families with small children. Addition of handrails would solve this problem. Similarly for the stairs leading to the lower level. The mattress on our bed was good but the pillows were terrible, small and spongy. There are no additional blankets so we used the comforter from another unused bedroom. We rented in early February and the house was cold because the walls are not insulated as typical for Spanish homes. The pellet stove bearly managed to keep the house warm. Fortunately the owner was kind enough to supply a few extra bags of pellets. The living room would benefit from a few extra pillows and blanket. The TV channels are almost all German with very few English or French news only channels. The property manager was kind and responded quickly to our requests.

The villa was lovely and just as described. Very clean with modern kitchen and bathrooms. Fantastic outdoor pool and lounge area with amazing views. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. About 10 to 15 minute drive to town, port and restaurants. The house is at the top of a hill so expect narrow winding roads to access villa and some steep stairs to get to the house. We enjoyed our stay

Lovely property, fantastic views they really were spectacular! Could be more homely as very empty and simple decor. No kettle but this would have be rectified. Very quiet location and great hosts

This is an amazing place with absolutely incredible views. Getting up there can be challenging the first time or with an older car. My only negative comment would be the dangerous stairs. This property is not recommended for the elderly or very young kids.

The house has everything we wanted with a nice swimmingpool, which our children enjoyed a lot, and having BBQ's with the most incredible sunsets. The communication with the owner was good. The pictures of the house are all realistic, but to experience the views you have to be there, it's really spectacular!

The pictures don't do the views or cleanliness or expansiveness of this property justice. It's the kind of place where everything has been thought of--when was the last time you stayed at a property and found scissors in a drawer? Me either. Patricia and Urs go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, and the property is among the top three we've ever stayed at--and this from a couple of friends who travel together two-three times a year, staying only in vacation rentalas. It's a gem, and the twisty mountain road to get to it is worth it in privacy and amazing Mediterranean and city views. We stayed a week and wished it could be longer. Thanks, Patricia and Urs!

The pictures of the property look amazing....but, seeing is believing! What a wonderful location, overlooking Dénia and the Mediterranean with Montgo as a backdrop. In front of you, a breathtaking palette of ever-changing shapes and colours in the sky from the sun, the clouds (when they show-up!), the sea, the mountains and the lights of Dénia. Urs and Patricia have created this idyllic vacation property by their hard work, attention to detail and a desire to give complete satisfaction to their guests. All the furniture and equipment was of the highest quality, everything worked well and was spotlessly clean. During the booking process, Patricia was extremely responsive to all our questions. Situated only a short distance outside of Dénia in Les Rotas, the road up to the property is very steep and narrow, with several extremely tight hair-pin bends to negotiate.....but the reward of spending time at this property is worth the journey up. You will need a vehicle if you plan to stay here. Urs greeted us on our arrival, and even drove down the hill to guide us back up to the house, as we were uncertain that we had the correct address. During our stay, Urs was very responsive to take care of a very minor maintenance issue with the exterior lighting. It is always comforting to know there is somebody available in the event of things going wrong......which happens! The internet connection was excellent (even outside) and the private parking pad at the top entrance to the property worked out well. With air conditioning in the bedrooms and living area, it was easy to keep the temperature at a comfortable level even with the outside temperature close to 30C (Yes...October!). Dénia has all you need; shops, bars, restaurants, beaches, etc., with the larger cities of Valencia and Alicante just over 1 hour away if you need more. . Patricia came promptly as arranged for our check-out, as we had a fairly long drive to Barcelona, and was extremely efficient in finalizing the electricity charges and the return of the security deposit. If you are considering spending time in this area and want to be assured of a peaceful, quality stay, away from the all too frequent sub- standard tourist accommodations…..then this is the place. Patricia and Urs have renovated Casa Leona in such a thoughtful way and to an exacting standard it truly made everything about our stay an incredibly relaxing and 5 star experience. Everything you need is on hand and works as you would expect and you have the privacy to make the most of your spot in the sun by the fabulous pool. The sunrise and sunsets are very special due to the villas unique position in the el Montgo park. This was our first trip to Denia and we were blown away by the vast array of restaurants and had such enjoyable meals. The beaches are long with great sand, much quieter than the Balearics and the sea a lovely turquoise colour. We’ll be back again to enjoy it all again soon!
