Stayed Oct 9, 2025Firmly enjoyed the Hideaway. Very comfortable and cozy. Would have liked a little table and some chairs along with a small grill in the back yard slab area to burn a few steaks during the evening time, but really enjoyed the screened in patio for our morning coffee and pastries. Will definitely stay there again!

Stayed Sep 26, 2025Everything was great, the cottage is perfect for a weekend getaway. It was clean, well stocked and very closed to all attractions. I will say it was a bit difficult to find specially at night as it is in the back of a main cottage. Here are the exact coordinates 30.28267 N,98.88355 W.

Stayed Jul 4, 2025Lovely property close to town. Much nicer than a hotel room. My husband and I would stay there again. Weather was rainy so the screened in porch made it even better.

Stayed Mar 7, 2025This house is in the perfect location, just a short walk from downtown! Great size for two people, and the hot tub is delightful. The delicious frosted cookies left as a greeting were so lovely, too.

Stayed Jan 6, 2025We celebrated our wedding anniversary in the Hideaway. We found everything as promised. We enjoyed the hot tub despite the temperature of the outside air in the 20’s. It was easy access. Also, we loved the faux fireplace with its dancing fire display and heater-perfect for winter nights.

Stayed Aug 30, 2024This little hideaway is truly that. What seems to be a garage that was converted into a cute little retreat. Lovely screened porch with a hot tub tucked behind a trifold wall. Very well furnished and very clean hot tub which made for great relaxation after walking Main Street all day. Walking inside you’re met with a little eating area and the bedroom. It’s one big open area there but really comfortable. There’s a mini fridge and small bar sized sink with some dishes up in the cabinet. Most important- a corkscrew! Walking in further is the living room with a very comfortable couch, coffee table, and chairs. The TV mounted on the wall is the perfect size for this cozy area. Onto the bathroom a rather spacious sink area to place all your toiletries and a decent walk in shower. All around the Hideaway has that quaint, relaxing feel to it. Nicely decorated to give the impression that your comfort is truly thought of. Just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the Mail Street attractions but close enough to venture for a walk or just easily drive down the road to park in the midst of it all. I liked it wasn’t where all the noise was but close enough to get anywhere in less than 5 min. Definitely would make a return trip!

Stayed Jun 11, 2024Came to town to see family. If this place was cleaned before our visit I'd be surprised. The shower is moldy, the kitchen sink hasn't been scrubbed in months and the bathroom sink was slimy with pink mold. The worst bed I've slept in in 20 years. It's right on Main Street but way away from the action. We didn't need to spend any time in it because we were busy with family but I would not recommend any part of it.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This place is OK. The core place really needs updating. The plumbing fixtures are all very old and really need to be replaced. The toilet seat is so old it is peeling and one of the sides has come loose. It is decorated cheerfully, but there is so much stuff, on every surface, that there is really no place to put your things. There were only two of us (parent and small child) but we still felt cramped. On the plus side, there are plenty of towels and a lovely packet of snacks, coffee and tea. I would look for another place before staying here again.
