Stayed Jun 23, 2025We booked for 7 nights and stayed 1 night. Check-in instructions were never sent until I reached out. The home was outdated, not kept up with. Broken beds, closets. Ant carcasses in master bathtub. Notes everywhere about how meticulously the house was cared for but it was very poorly kept. The pool water was completely green, unsafe. Complete misrepresentation of what the home offers.

Stayed Mar 27, 2024Property is not even close to what is pictures or advertised. There were NO LIGHTS on for an evening arrival. Opening the front door expecting a warm and inviting family home and what we got was a house stuck in the 1970s. The kitchen had a non-working microwave, no amenities, pink carpet, windows that we were forbidden to open because the “frame might break”, a sliding glass door to the pool which was broken and couldn’t be used. The two sofas were duct taped at the bottom so the fabric didn’t fall off. The pool was dirty and there are no chairs or lounges. The table and umbrella were in the pool because of a storm, but the property is so poorly kept the owner didn’t even know. The bathrooms are full of black mold, there are no amenities (not even hand soap to wash your hands.) The beds are old and broken down. And while there were clean sheets and towels they were not readily available but in an old closet. The neighborhood is old and dark. Didn’t feel UNsafe but didn’t feel safe at all. We stayed one night and left. I contacted VRBO and provided photos. Definitely do not recommend. And would love my money back for the four nights I had to stay in a hotel. Definitely a thumbs down.

Stayed Jan 15, 2024One of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. Quiet neighborhood and close to stores. However, I counted 12 notes taped to the walls in the house. Don’t spill anything on the carpet, if it leaves a stain you will be charged. Don’t open the windows, which could not be opened because they were barred shut. I would think this would be against fire code. Don’t open the sliding glass doors. Don’t lock yourself out. Be careful with the vertical blinds, you’ll be charged for any damage. No ice maker in the frig, ice trays would be nice. Don’t turn the AC below 74, seriously. We felt like we had to tiptoe through the house. We paid to live here for a month, 2 washcloths, we had to go buy some and some hand towels.

Stayed Dec 22, 2023The location is great gas stations and stores are really close by. But as for the house. Majority was outdated. The bathrooms were dusty and looked like they weren’t cleaned in months I had to clean it. The double beds were very soggy had no support at all. The pillows were old and yellow had no pillow cases. And the dishes had dust and water marks had to clean them as well. Also the pool was dirty it wasn’t cleaned in months. The house would be much better if everything is updated.

Stayed Jun 25, 2023Property was a expected per online listing and reviews. Kitchen faucet spayed water at you when turned on full power. Not enough cups and utensils for a family of 6. Had to go purchase some ao every one could eat and drink. Found 2 snakes in the house upon arriving to property. I know it's Florida but they should not be in the house. House needs some TLC. It is a nice home for the price. I would recommend it to others if basic repairs are made to the property.

Stayed Apr 1, 2023This property was spacious and conveniently located. Those are the only positive things I will say about this rental experience. I am a veteran educator with a masters degree and over 10 years experience renting properties with VRBO and other vacation renta. My reviews from all those rental experiences have been without blemish. Look them up for yourself. After leaving this rental location, the owner sent me a message accusing me of “ransacking” the property. The owner states that I “utilized several provisions for the owners” from the walk in closet. This walk-in closet (which had no door) had a cardboard box inside it that contained a pack of toilet paper. There was no note or label indicating the contents were only for the owners. So admittedly we used this toilet paper. AND THEN BOUGHT MORE TO REPLACE IT. The owner states living room blinds were “taken down.” Two vertical blinds fell off upon our arrival when we opened the blinds to access the pool. Apparently we shouldn’t have attempted to access the pool at all. Anyone have suggestions on how to access a pool which is on the other side of sliding doors without opening the vertical blinds? I’m open to suggestions. By the way, WE ALSO REPLACED THE FALLEN BLINDS. After our departure on April 7th, the owner’s message stated that we left the carpet “soiled in several areas which required deep cleaning of the carpet.” The carpets were thoroughly stained when we arrived. The other 5 family members that stayed with me can and will vouch for the fact that the carpets were stained before we arrived. The carpets were stained so much that, when we arrived on April 1st, I shared on social media that there would be no photos of our vacation rental because it was a dump. So either tenants before us soiled the carpets and their cleaning service failed to tell the owners OR the owners want me to pay for deep cleaning carpets that we did not stain. In addition, when we arrived the ceiling fan was on high and swinging so precariously that it appeared ready to disconnect and fly across the room. There were no lounge chairs around the pool; we had to purchase our own or lay on the cement. The toilets required plunging every other time in order to properly flush. And, while the renter advertises that the house sleeps 6 people, the dinner table had only 3 chairs. So, yes, you can sleep 6 here. Just don’t plan on eating meals together. I have reported this owner to Be Neighborly, the division of VRBO that deal
