Casa Sunflower is located on the edge of the Andalusia town of Coín in the heart of the Costa del Sol only 25 mins from Malaga Airport and 20 mins to the nearest beach.
Casa Sunflower is furnished and equipped to provide our guests an enhanced experience and stay, energy efficient appliances, latest technology including Fibre broadband at 200gb free for all guests, streaming TV service with English, Spanish, French and German channels. Smart home by Smarthings, smart lights, appliances, heating and Air Conditioning, allowing full control of comfort whilst maintaining energy efficiency. Two chill areas on our terraces and when you need to charge your smartphone or listen to music, we have added power sockets to all terraces and BBQ area.

Casa Sunflower has been awarded Superior rating by Junta de Andalucía . We also work closely with the local council tourist office and Coin te espera, to promote, support and develop sustainable rural tourism.

Our Villa is located on the exclusive Sierra urbanization. South facing with spectacular and breath-taking views of the Gualdaforce valley overlooking the nearby towns of Coin and Alhaurin el Grande. The colour of the valley changes throughout the seasons from the green winter to the yellows of high summer, during the day the villages in the distance look like small white Lego bricks and night the lights sparkle like stars.

Lounge and Dining area.: Large lounge and dining area, leading on to two terraces facing to the east and west for morning and afternoon sun. Both terraces overlook the pool with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

The lounge is fully equipped with wide screen TV, DVD, Smart TV. WIFI Streaming TV service.

For the cool winter nights we have wood burning stove to keep you cosy providing heat to the whole villa.

In the lounge there is a separate dining area with capacity and setting for up to 6 people. If you prefer dining alfresco you can use the dining area’s on the terrace or by the pool.

The lounge and bedrooms in the villa are fully air-conditioned with cooling and heating available.
Sun loungers are provided on the terraces and there are two chill areas to relax.

Bedrooms: The master bedroom has a King Size bed and large fitted wardrobes, with views and windows leading onto the terrace.
The second bedroom has twin beds, fitted wardrobes and views to the mountain behind. hair dyers and alarm clocks, Bluetooth speakers.

There is a further Pool house (3rd Bedroom) ensuite bedroom with private lounge overlooking the pool. With king bed and 1 single bed provides flexibility to suit everyone's needs. The Pool house can also be used as a home office(on request) with high speed lan port, desk, office chair and additional office equipment as required. Ideal if you are working from home and want to spend some time in Spain. This forms part of the Basement area and leads out on to a terrace at the pool side. This is available at an additional fee for up to 2 extra guests (max 6). This is NOT LET ON ITS OWN, and can only be added as an optional extra, this is ideal for large or extended families and friends, we assure any booking sole and private use of the villa and grounds. Air conditioning is available in the pool house. Note pool house not suitable for unaccompanied children due to separate entrance.

Kitchen and Bathrooms: There is a fully equipped Kitchen with all the latest time saving, energy efficient appliances and gadgets that you could expect to find in a luxury villa. For your use there is a full table and glass service for eight people, We have tried to provide everything that you could possibly need in the kitchen to make your stay enjoyable. These include Samsung Washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer, Balay ceramic hob and full size oven and grill, small appliances include Kettle, Filter Coffee maker, Expresso Coffee maker, Tassimo, juicer and an iron.

The Villa has a family bathroom with bath (shower over) WC, and a separate shower area. There is a another bathroom that is ensuite to the 3rd bedroom this has a bath with shower and a WC (3rd bedroom extra see above) and a separate cloakroom WC

    Family break in Andulucia . Check in a bit concerning as we arrived and no instructions given or codes. Eventually got through to host and a few hours later we gained entry . Not sure who’s responsibility it was to send entry code however it was resolved some time later. Property is very clean well presented and situated close to supermarkets etc. nice balcony and pool area. Fresh orphaned and lemons. It was a littlest cold in the evenings as we visited in late Feb however with the heating on it was fine. Lots of interesting places to visit close by, Marbella old town, Rhonda and Competa . Very enjoyable stay.

    Beautiful house with all the necessary equipment. The view is fantasctic so is the pool. We were there for a full month. The house was cleaned on a regular basis as the pool. Had to communicate with the owner once. The reply came immediately. Would definetely recommend!

    Fantastic holiday. We loved the location, in the mountains but easy access to all facilities. House was as described, spacious, well equipped and pool area just what was needed in the extremely hot weather. Lots of outside seating areas to choose from. Very peaceful and relaxing.

    This is villa is in a nice quiet estate with very little traffic. The pool and garden are fantastic place to spend time in sun or shade. The wild surrounds of the villa makes it a good balance between rural and urban with the access and parking the suitably urban side. The villa itself is very modern and equipped with everything required for self catering and entertainment purposes.

    The Villa was very clean modern and comfortably furnished with all the up to date appliances. Very well equipped. Exactly as advertised. It was in a great quiet location with fantastic views.!! Local Supermarket on door step. The local area of Coin is lovely with all amenities and fantastic selection of Restaurants. Also recommend Alhaurin de Torre and Alhaurin de Grande nearby. Great location to easily travel into resorts of Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola and slightly further afield Marbella. Recommend highly

    We were very lucky to be able to take a much holiday after a winter lock down. We wanted to be away from crowds yet not remote. This location was excellent for us just a short trip fron the Airport, the villa was perfect and everything waa brand new and I am sure some of the paint must have still been wet, we were the first guests of 2021 the owners explained they had spent lockdown decorating, the villa and views were stunning we could not have hoped for more. Located just outside the town of Coin we found some great restaurants with very friendly people, sadly not many customers. Back at the villa is where we spent most of our time either beside on in the pool as we had great weather (not too hot) and we could walk to the shops and restaurants on the development, Guadalmarket is a must visit, grocery, butcher, fruit shop loads cheap beer and a cake shop wity the biggest cream cakes you have ever seen, and they taste great. So a great holiday, good location and a fantastic villa for a holiday anytime. Highly recommended

    The house is in a great setting with fantastic views across the countryside. The house was spacious enough for a family of 4 and the outside space was also good with 2 terraces and a nice pool area, again with those great views. The house was clean and disinfectant was provided by Bryan the host. There is a seperate unit downstairs which we did not have access to. This unit did not have any guests so the outdoor areas were exclusively for our use. There are however somethings you should be aware of when renting this home. 1) the houses either side of the property both have multiple dogs and on occasion, their barking was an issue. There is obviously nothing Bryan can do about this, but is does disturb the tranquility of the setting. 2) the beds are very uncomfortable. In my opinion the house needs all new mattresses 3) the dishwasher did not work from the day we arrived. We reported this and the property manager came around quickly, but could not repair it. Bryan the host told us he was ordering a new one and he hoped it would arrive early in our 2nd week. It never arrived, so we had to wash up every day of our stay 4) off street parking is available, however the lock on the gate was very temperamental and would not always unlock. Again we reported this, but the property manager could not fix the problem. We parked on the street as we we worried the car would be locked in and we would be unable to get it out. I recommend replacing the lock. 5) the air conditioning is on a timer. This is not a big problem during the day, as you can simply reset the timer if you are in the house. It is however a big issue at night. Electric fans were provided, but with overnight temperatures in the mid to high 20's they were not enough and we needed the air conditioning on overnight. This created 2 problems. Firstly, the AC goes off when the timer ends (2 hours max) so you would wake up really hot and have to get up and reset the timer, before returning to bed. Secondly, when the AC units are on, a bright light at the bottom of each unit is lit and as the unit is directly above the headboard of the bed, this shines directly in your eyes when you are trying to sleep. This coupled with the uncomfortable mattresses, do not help get a good night's sleep. It is a nice house in a beautiful setting, but these issues did detract somewhat from our enjoyment of our stay Ian Cook
