I cannot say enough good things about our week at Lime Acre. This historic plantation house has been beautifully maintained, and is comfortable and inviting. But we hardly spent anytime inside because of its beautiful situation on an incredible expanse of waterfront, with a private cove and dock, an amazing pool where you can enjoy the views and lounge comfortably, and beautiful gardens with hammocks and chaise loungers. Each day brought a tough decision - which first? Beach or Pool? The home and grounds are equipped with everything you might need: bug spray, puzzles, games, decks of cards, floats for the pool, plenty of towels, goggles, life vests, two kayaks, two paddle boards, a giant ocean bike and plenty of snorkeling equipment. We wanted for nothing. But the highlight was truly the amazing staff. We were treated like royalty for the week. Nigel and Aldeen prepared amazing meals that catered to our pescatarian ways. We loved enjoying local specialties - many grown in the garden - such as breadfruit, fresh mango, ackee and Johnny cakes. The housekeepers kept our rooms ship shape, and the groundskeepers did the same for the beach, pool area and gardens. Spraggo was so incredibly kind to my children, and helped us with kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, and shared is garden with us on a special tour. And our hats are off to Dujon, who was an amazing butler. He was always at the ready with water, and made delicious mojitos, margaritas, sangria and rum punches for sunset. We loved wondering where he would set up the table next, and enjoyed dining in so many beautiful areas on the property. We particularly loved the celebration they threw for my daughter's 15th birthday (complete with sparklers and disco lights!), and the bonfire and roasted marshmallows on our last night. We will be back. It was an amazing week and I am so thankful to have had a chance to experience Lime Acre Villa.
We sadly had to leave Lime Acres but we throughly enjoyed our week long stay. From the moment you book the property the team is on point with the front end arrangements. Thank you Dana. At the point of our arrival we were greated by the amazing team at Lime Acres. The property is beautiful and the house is filled with charm without sacrificing any amenities. The pool has a perfect vantage point to enjoy the ocean views. The beach is protected by a reef and creates a perfect place to enjoy the water sports on site; paddle boards, kayaks, etc. The best part of Lime Acre is the team on-site. Dujon is an absolute professional and no details go unnoticed. Nigel and Aldeen prepared amazing meals and did not disappoint once. Spragga and Oral were amazing with the kids, helping us with the water sports and even creating a beachside bonfire. These are only the highlights. Thanks to everyone at Lime Acre for an amazing time!
Our trip to Lime Acre Villa exceeded expectations in every way. From the absolutely wonderful staff to the delicious food, and beautiful views, we truly couldn't have been happier, and we're already dreaming of returning. Highlights for our group (six adults, three teenagers) included: Having a gorgeous private beach to ourselves, Chef Nigel's delicious meals, kayaking and snorkeling with our wonderful guides Oral and Spragga, Karaoke night, and sipping pina coladas by the pool. The property itself is beautiful, but it was definitely the staff that made our trip so unforgettable. They kept the house and grounds immaculate, kept us full of delicious food and drink, and coordinated all of our excursions and entertainment (from a trip to YS Falls, to beach volleyball, to karaoke night, to kayaking and snorkeling). Last, I can't end this review without a special shout-out to Dujon for leading the staff, making everything seem possible and keeping our vacation totally stress-free!
This location exceeded ALL expectations! Better yet, the staff went above and beyond to ensure every single person (all 13 of us ranging in age from 1 to 77) was cared for and accommodated. I used to work at a 5 star hotel and this blew that away. Every need was anticipated, the meals were incredible, the rooms were beautifully kept and the grounds were immaculate. Can’t leave out the amazing pool, water toys and ping pong table! The Lime Acres team takes such pride in everything they do. From Chef Winston’s delicious meals to Mr. Rocky’s daily surprises there was no stone left unturned. Spragga, Oral, Pansy, Fiona, Betsy, Chef Aladdin and all the security were 2nd to none. If I could personally guarantee you will fall in LOVE with Lime Acres and the staff, I would. Seriously a trip of a lifetime! Thank you Dana for making it all possible. You are a true delight and a pleasure to work with at every turn.
At first I didn't want to write this review. Not because we had a bad experience, but because we had the best experience possible. And writing this review meant more people would find out about this piece of paradise on earth, which would mean more people would try and rent it when my family and friends wanted to rent it. Ultimately, I decided it would be a disservice to the amazing staff to not review our stay. So here I go... We fell in love with this property, and with Jamaica, and with the staff. Rocky, the butler, was nothing less of accommodating. Anything we thought of or asked for he would make a reality. This is your home, would usually be a part of his reply. Chef Winston never disappointed with delivering a new restaurant every night. Hands down the best steak I've ever had, I had at Lime Acre. Each night we'd probe Chef Winston for his secrets, and most nights he would oblige, but something tells me, I'll never be able to make anything half as good as he does. We traveled with three 4yo girls and thee babies under 7 months. When the girls were running around the property we knew they were safe. Most of the property is covered in grass which allowed for the girls to basically run free. Even if they made it to the beach before the parents did, Spragga (the resident life guard) was always there on the look out. And with the babies, Miss Pansie and her staff would give the parents a break, whenever we would sneak off in to town, or go on a quick sunset kayak trip. We were 3 families, 12 people total, and it was amazing. All of us had a chance to unwind and finally catch our breaths. We can't say enough about the house and the property, it's paradise.
We stayed at Lime Acre for a week after Christmas to celebrate my parents' 45th wedding anniversary. This villa is perfection. It has so much more charm than a new villa, and yet all the modern amenities. The pictures - which are gorgeous do not begin to do the villa or the grounds justice. It's a truly breath-taking property. Our family of 11 (6 adults, one teenager, 4 toddlers) were all perfectly accommodated. The staff is beyond compare. Rocky, the butler, is there to serve and meet your every need. He's a ton of fun, and our kids still talk about him. Winston, the chef, cooks the most delicious food from local delicacies, to French and Asian cuisine - your choice, and he tells great stories, too. Everyone loved his cooking, and we had a few very picky eaters in the group. Pansy and Fiona keep the bedrooms beautiful, and the kids loved the towel and flower creations they would create before they turned down the beds. They also kept our little ones when we would have adult dinners on the beach or go to excursions. The two groundskeepers, Spragga and Oral, are both certified lifeguards and make sure the kids are safe around the water at all times, which is so reassuring. Once Spragga knew that my niece and I wanted to find conch shells before we went home, he wouldn't rest until he found them for us - luckily, in this secluded beach location, they're not hard to find! And Oral accompanied us to YS Falls (which are stunning) and watched the kids in the pools so that the adults could go zip lining. Truly, everyone is there to make your vacation the best you'll ever have. Sandals Whitehouse is nearby, and a masseuse from that property came over and gave massages to family members one afternoon. Several of us went walking or jogging (crazy people) up the nearby hill (small mountain) and always felt very safe. The property is completely fenced in with 24-hour security. And it's huge - there are hammocks and all kinds of places to stop to take a nap, read a book, or just enjoy the most incredible sunset views you have ever seen. Every single night we got the best sunset pictures you can imagine. Don't go for any less than 7 days - even that is too short. We could've stayed forever, and I absolutely hope to return.
