Stayed Mar 3, 2017Pleasant rural villa, in walking distance of Hikkaduwa. Trees in the garden are very large, and block out the sun to most of the pool and patio area, as well as the balcony. Therefore sunbathing is severely restricted. Although not yet affected, I can foresee the tree roots cracking the pool walls in the near future. The pool is just large enough for adults to swim in, and the water was clear and warm. The kitchen and equipment is sufficient to prepare simple meals. Like a lot of villas in Sri Lanka there is the problem of maintenance, the garden to the sides and rear of the villa are neglected, and strewn with rubbish. The kitchen could also do with a good clean, which tarnishes the enjoyment of the villa overall.
