Stayed Jun 2, 2018Comfortable Villa, although the upstairs bedroom was a challenge as the bed was situated on a mezzanine with no standing area at all, and very hot, even in the early summer. The master bedroom was massive and maybe oversized by comparison. We did not use the 'spa' room and feel it could be put to better use. Comfortable lounging and dining area where a ceiling fan was suitable cooling in the warm evenings. Well equipped, compact kitchen with plenty of storage to save trekking down the mountain for supplies. Excellent, large, laundry room ( under the pool) with additional fridge for wine/beer/water and of course, extra storage. Interesting,wide array of sockets in all the rooms, but only had to reboot the fuse box once, due to overload. Cannot praise the pool and outside area enough. Well planned for heat and sun or cool and shade with lovely warm pool and excellent shower; plenty of comfortable furniture with al fresco eating areas and BBQ all in proximity to the house. No need to really venture out, except for supplies, it was a joy to spend time and relax. However, we toured a little, beautiful scenery and lovely old towns and villages where the locals were very friendly and welcoming. Word to the wise, the local paginacci is OK for a taste, no need to go for the full menu. So enjoyed our week, would love a return visit.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The remote location could possibly be a detraction to some, but we all loved it! Remote, bucolic, in the middle of vineyards and olive groves, the occasional falcons wandering by - who could ask for better from Tuscany? It is close enough to the city of Aulla for all the necessities - good restaurants, wineries, groceries . Lerici and Cinque Terre are close enough as well, with more shopping opportunities and variety. Best of both worlds! Plenty of room for 3 couples, kitchen and dining table and 2 living areas. The pool was breath-taking - a total surprise. It was functional, and absolutely beautiful by night. Thank you very much to Massimo and Francesca of Sea and Country Villas for their qualified recommendation. We 'll be back :)

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great communication from the start. Very accommodating when dates needed to be changed at late notice. House surpassed expectations, host had gone out of their way to make sure it had all that was needed including fresh fruit and bread on arrival, fully equipped, lovely pool and terrace, outdoor seating areas,great bbq, spa bath - added touches like outdoor speaker by pool and great TV for evening movies. Perfect location for visiting nearby beaches, cinque terre, Pisa and Florence. Great supermarket nearby (conad) and other shops. Wouldn't hesitate to come again but would do for longer. Own car needed due to location but restaurants nearby. All in all great value and lovely family holiday. Rupert and Jennifer
