Stayed Jun 24, 2023We had a wonderful stay at the villa in Frigliana. We had our extended family including 2 infants and and 8 year old grandsons staying with us and their parents. The villa has many exceptional features including the views from all the balconies to the mountains and sea at nerja. Just a short walk and your are in frigiliana which we have been to many times before. The pool and all the swimming toys were great and everyone enjoyed it as the weather was quite warm at 32° . Plenty of dining areas including by the pool which was really useful. The main balcony by the living room was a great place for all the family to enjoy food, socialising, playing cards etc . The top floor master suite was delightful plenty of room, dressing room and separate bathroom with shower and bath. The kitchen was well equipped. One minor point is that as the fridge freezer was small for the numbers in our party. Overall we had a great time. Thanks to steve and kate the local cleaning and maintenance team who were very helpful and accommodating. Overall we had a very memorable family getaway.

Stayed May 27, 2023The villa is beautiful. It has superb views to the south and close to the excellent facilities in Frigiliana. There are loads of places to eat. There are some great walks in the area; the local tourist office ranks their difficulty but even the easy ones are a tough walk. The arrangements for the villa were good and it’s easy to find with excellent access to the motorway to Malaga / Granada.

Stayed Aug 14, 2022We went with family to this villa. The villa is so much better than advertised, everything you need is here. It was very well equipped and it is absolutely beautiful. The photos and description don't do it justice. Frihliana is beautiful and a very friendly place to visit. We will definitely go back there, and hope we will be able to stay at this wonderful villa again

Stayed Jul 30, 2022We've holidayed as a large family group round Andalusia for the last 12 or 13 years, and this villa is as good as any we've stayed in. Inside, it was clean and airy. The temperatures were pushing 40 for most of our stay, and the air con had it's moments, but by and large, it held up. Loads of cutlery and glasses for a large group. Maybe a few bigger pans needed. The rooms were all spacious, and the two young ones liked having their own room apart from the main house. The views from the villa are stunning. I get first choice of rooms for organising it every year, and the master bedroom on the top floor - when you open the curtains in the morning. Wow. Mountains all around, and a clear view all the way down to the sea at Nerja. Outside, the pool area is great. Faces south, and plenty of spaces to lie out all day, as well as a shady naya with a fridge and table for those who were beat by the sun, and just wanted to read in the shade. A few power points as well for charging phones and Kindles. Frigiliana is a typical, friendly, white-washed Spanish village. Enough bars and restaurants, with one of the local bars showing EPL football for those who need their fix. An Eroski has enough for a decent shop, including a good butchers, but we ordered online through the Mercadona app for the big shop. Few tips - it's a good 20 minute walk to the main plaza area in the village. Best to go downhill at the roundabout, and then there's a gradual climb back up near the end. If you go the other way, uphill, there's a couple of bars to break your walk up, but in 40 degree heat, you will need them! My calves are still tight, 2 weeks later! When you come back to the villa, come this way, as it's all downhill. There are two rubbish drops close by, but unless you're walking on into the village anyway, use the one down to your left as you exit the villa. A lot easier to walk downhill with lots of rubbish bags, and stroll back up again. We never hire a car, and if you just want to stay in the local area, you don't need one. We spent a few days out in Nerja and Almunecar, and it was a 15 minute bus to Nerja for just over a Euro. Another 25 minutes by bus, takes you to the more Spanish town of Almunecar, for about 3 Euros. Ubers are about 12-15 Euros to and from Nerja if you miss the last bus back. We've never visited the same place twice in all these years, but if we did, we would do it here, and that's about as big a compliment as I can give it.
