Large family villa with swimming pool and wooded grounds

Excellent location, lovely pool and garden. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of storage space and work surfaces. Fridge space is tight; another in the kitchen or cellar for drinks would be good.There are only 3 showers and 2 toilets indoors for up to 15 people (we were 10 a toddler); manageable but not ideal.

Close to shops, lake, walking, cycling & restaurants. Quiet location with huge garden and lovely heated pool. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of worktop space. Comfortable and quiet bedrooms. Would benefit from having more toilets and showers.

We’ve just had an amazing holiday in this perfect villa. 6 adults and 7 children. This Villa ticked all the boxes. The pool, table tennis and garden provided all the entertainment needed during the day and the great lounge and TV allowed the children to have some down time in the evening while the adults made the most of the outside dining area. There is a large well equipped kitchen that makes food preparation very easy even for a large group. The location is also great. Lacanau is a quiet town with adequate facilities including a great Boulangerie a minute walk away. Further a field, the lake is only 10 minutes in the car which provides, water sports and a splash park. Lacanau Ocean and the beach is only 18 minutes in the car. Overall we would definitely recommend this Villa.

We were a party of ten - six adults and four children aged 2-9. We were welcomed by the charming Flora, who explained where everything was and how it all worked. We found the house clean, spacious and very well equipped, with almost all that we needed for a comfortable stay. The week was a very hot one, with temperatures reaching 39C (and 25C at night!) The children slept very well in their air-conditioned rooms, but the adults overheated! We made very good use of the fabulous swimming pool, interspersed with trips to the lake and the ocean. The proximity of the So-bio shop and the SuperU made food shopping very easy and we enjoyed cooking on the barbecue. The younger adults had a lovely, relaxed evening at the Sunset Cafe and we all had an excellent family lunch at Cafe Pinasse in Cap Ferret. All in all, a superb family week. we had a very nice stay in Jérôme's house. The location is perfect to get to the lake Lacanau or the sea (we did everything with bikes) The house itself is very well equipped with everything you need to feel very comfortable. (Very clean, big House, big garden, Poolarea, nice and calm neighbourhood, houseequipment !) Communication with Jerome as well as the housekeeper Flora was very pleasant and obliging. No questions remained unanswered. We can warmly recommend the house if you want to spend holidays in a comfortable and relaxed area!

Overall we are happy with our stay! We found Jérôme, the property owner to be responsive & eager to resolve a couple of minor issues at the beginning of our stay. Flora, the property manager, is super friendly & helpful. The kitchen is well equipped (could use more dish towels) & the beds are comfortable. For our older family members with mobility problems, the lack of railings on the entry steps to the house & also the pool was an issue. Everyone managed with help. So future renters may keep that in mind. 4 bedrooms on the main level was a huge plus though. Our favorite & most used spots were definitely the pool & the cushioned seating area on the deck…under the umbrella…with a cold drink. We would consider staying here again if we are in the area in the future.
