This is the second time we have stayed at Villla Lavender. The villa itself is stunning, has all amenities, great views, very peaceful and a great place to idle a day away. In contrast there is plenty to do in the area and Isabel (owner) could not have been more helpful providing lots of useful information and ideas - highlight of which was an evening boat trip in Kalkan on the Eylul boat. During the stay Ahmet was on hand for anything required - restaurants, taxis etc. We particularly recommend The Village Restaurant for local dining and a helpful transport service. Highly recommend a stay here!
This June our family of 6 (grandparents, parents and two children of 11 and 13) had a wonderful opportunity to enjoy Villa Lavender in Kalkan. Summarizing our best impressions we would like to pay tribute to: - the architects who conceived this marvelous set of villas flying over the valley and the sea of which Lavender is definitely the jewel in the crown - Isabel and Mark whose inspiration is felt at evey inch of this lovely space and whose appropriate instructions ahead and during our stay made it even more delicious - the on-the-ground team, who always is around and provides perfect technical support And of course to this historical land, mother to many civilisations, which offers its hospitality and appeal to wisdom and peace. Highly recommended! George, Ludmila, Kristina, Daniil, Tamara, Sergey
A wonderful villa which even the photos don't do justice too! Fanastic views over the Turkish scenery and amazing sunsets to sit and watch with a drink in hand. This kids all loved the space, but more importantly the pool - just the right size for four kids to play in without quarrelling. Everything is catered for if you want to cook, and the BBQ outside with seating by the pool is ideal for evening meals. We tried a number of restaurants both up the mountain and down in Kalkan and all extremely good value and excellent food. Few things I would point out you do need a car to get around as you are about 20 mins drive to Kalkan harbour and take some Citronella to keep the bugs at bay while you eat outside. It was magical - highly recommend it.
I travelled with family to Villa Lavender on Kalkan mountain. We were all blown away when we arrived at night, the villa was so beautiful and had everything we needed and more! The view out the balcony when we arrived was incredible and even more stunning to wake up to in the morning. The location is perfect and all the locals were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed turkish pizza a short work down from the villa and tried a few local restaurants that were great too. I couldn't recommend anywhere more and will certainly be wanting to go back!
We stayed in Villa Lavender for a week in July and had a fantastic time. The property is 5 star and the views are breathtaking. A very luxurious place to relax!! The villa is very spacious and modern, and the pool area and outside furniture are fabulous. It was hard to want to venture out! We were travelling with children and the villa had everything we needed and more. Only a short drive to the town centre and famous Patara beach. Thoroughly recommend!
Villa Lavander is a truly stunning property with all of the amenities one would expect in a property of such high calibre. The views from all of the huge windows are truly amazing during the day and spectacular at night. We stayed for one week and were sad to leave the idyllic spot. The weather was scorchio! And the pool lovely and refreshing. The villa is managed by Ahmet who makes your stay so easy...very welcoming and always available to help with any query or restaurant recommendation. Loads of places to visit. Can't wait to return
We stayed at Villa Lavender in June this year and I can honestly say we were blown away by everything! The views are simply spectacular! The furnishings and décor are spot on, and the infinity pool is wonderful! We found all of the local restaurants to have amazing local foods, whilst the harbour restaurants had something for everyone...and very good cocktails! All waiters etc were very friendly and loved the children, even helping to look after our baby while we ate! Ahmet, the site manager was brilliant. Always around to help with anything from booking tables at restaurants, getting us fresh bread etc and arranging our airport runs. The owners of the villa were also very helpful and accommodating and gave us loads of tips of where to go and see etc! We can't recommend Villa lavender enough! We loved every moment...just a shame we were only there for a week, next time it will be for two!
We were fortunate enough to stay at Villa Lavender at Kalkan Mountain Villas in October 2013. The weather was beautiful and still shorts & T shirt temperature even at the end of the season. The villa is exceedingly spacious and beautifully and tastefully furnished with absolutely everything we needed. The views of the mountains and Patara Beach are simply breath-taking. The infinity pool is wonderfully inviting and the loungers and poolside eating areas give a choice of relaxing or eating in the sun or the shade. The caretaker Ahmed is wonderfully attentive and happily booked our restaurants, taxis and even our day trip on a traditional boat trip around the beautifully rugged local coastline. The mountain restaurants are rustic and quaint with fantastic local homemade food and the harbourside restaurants serve great food at very reasonable prices. If you are looking for a totally relaxing holiday in a superb location then you can’t go wrong with Villa Lavender. AAAAA******
I don't often take the time to write holiday reviews but on this occasion, the wonderful memories afforded by our stay at Villa Lavender, left me with little or no choice in the matter. Six of us made the journey to take up residence at the Villa and after a delayed flight we arrived rather travel weary. However, all thoughts of fatigue disappear as soon as the key opens the door of what, from the outside, appears to be a rather up market bungalow. In front of you, Marble floors and two-storey windows boasting views of the plains of Patara and Patara Beach in the distance take the breath away and give both the property and that first moment, the elusive 'wow' factor that stays in the memory long after the holiday is over. The property is arranged over three floors and is extremely well appointed with top notch fixtures and fittings but it also feels comfortable and homely, inviting you to while away the time chatting, reading, eating, swimming, dozing and just, well, chilling out really. After a while and with only a slight suspension of disbelief, it's not that difficult to imagine that this really is 'your' Villa, a feeling that makes it that much harder to leave when the holiday is finally over. The website and other reviews can tell you (and rightly so) about the great mountain restaurants to visit nearby, the classy cafes and bijou shops in Kalkan and Kas, the excellent beach at Patara and the welcoming, friendly and helpful Turkish people themselves. For myself, the abiding memory is of my regular visit to the Turkish barber down in the town. Where else can you get an expert shave with a cutthroat razor, face moisturised and lotioned, ears/nose and eyebrows trimmed with (amongst other implements) a flaming swizzle stick , a head, shoulder, arm and finger massage and a free (non alcoholic) beverage of your choice; all for the princely sum of ?3.00! For that experience alone, I'd make a point of coming back! At the end of the day, a great holiday is a shared holiday and this Villa, in this place, gave us a holiday experience that we'll talk about for years to come. I have no hesitation in giving it my heartiest recommendation.
Thank you soooo much we truly had a fabulous holiday. Where do I start the villa was amazing, very high spec, everything one would need and more, fantastic views, great pool and outside areas,it met all our expectations and more. The minute we walked in it was OMG. It defiantly has the wow factor. This I must point out is no mean task for us as we have stayed in some very good five star hotels around the world particularly in Dubai so we were delighted. The meet and greet service was excellent and the staff were very helpful from start to finish nothing was too much trouble for them. They even cleaned our car for us after we got some tarmac on it from a newly tarmaced road, very impressive. We loved Kalkan a very charming resort with lovely people. The teenagers had an amazing time partying all night long in mojitos and club chocolate. We had some great food in lots of different restaurants my favourite was Sade but there is still lots I would love to try.The boat trip was very good with Farti a great day out and very reasonably priced. We loved Patara village and its very laid back atmosphere we overdosed a few times on the pancakes at Ayshas very authentic. The villa is a bit out of it but don't be put of by this it is fantastic in the mountains you really do get to see the real Turkey. A 20 minute car drive gets you down to the main resort but it is so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the resort to this pure tranquility at the villa. A major plus is it is cooler up here with a breeze very refreshing after the heat lower down. We will defiantly be promoting you, your staff and the villa and letting everyone we know that the villa comes highly recommended. We are 100% coming back to Villa Lavender.
