House with private heated pool, jacuzi, near beaches

interesting house in a lovely rural area, the heated swimming pool was excellent.. Owner was quick to answer emails but unfortunately we didnt get to meet him. We had everything we needed in the house but one or two things needed attention, the fridge door was broken which meant that it was icing up and we had to push door to close it. The sleeping arrangements were not clear in the description and the grandparents ended up sleeping in bunk beds.in a very sweet little house in the garden, amongst the bamboo...fortunately grandad is still quite agile!! There was no light in the outside. bathroom! There is a nice little coffee shop/bar in the village and also a good small local supermarket. We enjoyed our stay exploring the local area as well as going further afield

nice location for a break

My wife and I stayed a week with our two dogs. The garden is fully enclosed so the dogs could just wander about. The pool area is also fenced off so the dogs can’t go in. And yes the pool really is heated and it was wonderful. You do need a car to explore the area. We went into the mountains to explore the waterfalls on some days and down to the various beaches on others. Thanks to Manuel for being a wonderful host. We hope to come back in the future.

This was our first trip to Portugal and it didn’t disappoint. The weather, the food, the cost and the people were all totally wonderful. What made it so special was the Villa we stayed in. It was exactly as the advert described. Beautiful, extremely private and very well equipped. The swimming pool was perfect and wonderfully heated. However what made it extra special was our wonderful host Manuel who went out of his way to make this visit extra special. If I needed a question answered or a bit of advice he responded to every question or query extremely promptly and always with courtesy. We felt extra safe and secure knowing that we were being taken care of. A car is a must for staying here but the roads are very easy to navigate and drive on. I cannot recommend the Clockhouse Villa, Vrbo or Manuel highly enough. I will definitely be looking to coming back. Thank you it really was a perfect stay. X

Beautiful place, very relaxing and very well conditioned. It was a pity for not testing the pool, maybe in summer ......

We really loved our stay here. It was relaxing and beautiful and the house was wonderfully fitted out. The heated pool was perfect for our 3-year-old and we have very fond memories of teaching him to doggy paddle in there. This was a great base to explore the area: I now just have to learn Portuguese to communicate a bit better with the locals!
