House / Villa dei Pini- Castellammare Del Golfo

The house was very nice and big with all that we needed for the stay.The host was very helpful, and even came with cake on my son's birthday. It would be good, if there was aircondition in the bedrooms and kitchen, but that is only thing missing.

There were a beautiful and big garden and many terraces. Check-in procedure was very good. We arrived late (by ferrie) but that was no problem at all.

The house in Castellamare del Golfo is a small paradise, just as seen in the photos and description. It offers complete peace and quiet, and a small, tranquil (in October), beautiful beach is just a few hundred meters away. We took some great trips by car around the area. The hosts, Vincenzo Mancuso and his mother, are very warm and always open to questions. We would love to come back!

We had a great stay in Villa Dei Pini, the house is simple but spacious and quiet.

The house is well positioned, comfortable and spacious. There is a big garden and peaceful terrace from where is possible to enjoy a nice biew. Vincenzo is very friendly and helpful and always available to recomend some great place to visit or some special local dish to try. Best choice ever.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The Villa was well equipped with everything we needed. As others have said the kitchen could do with modernising and the electrics did trip a few times. As the weather was chilly, we weren’t able to open the shutters, so it felt a bit dark at times. The outside space was wonderful and my teenage son enjoyed making fires in the bbq area! We had a problem with the tv which Vincenzo sorted out promptly and even brought us an Easter egg which was a lovely touch. We would stay here again, maybe in summer when it was a bit warmer and we could fully appreciate the outdoor space and location. Thanks for a great stay!

The place itself is great. It's not far from the beach. But I highly recommend renting a car, because the road is too busy to walk down and all the stores are a 10 minute drive away. The owners are very nice and communicative and best of all: easy going and uncomplicated!

The villa is basic but very homely. It's set in lovely grounds of olive, fig and orange trees a 5 minute drive from Castellammare del Golfo, and a ten minute walk to the lovely local beach at Scopelo. The owner's brother, Stefano, met us and took us to the villa. He was very helpful in recommending local restaurants and supermarkets. The villa itself was clean and spacious. There were three bedrooms, two toilets and one bathroom. The furnishings were basic, and the kitchen in particular could do with a bit of updating. But we didn't want for anything, and the swings and slide outdoors were a lovely touch much appreciated by our two children. The area itself is a good base for getting around the island. We had hired a car and made day trips and overnight excursions to everywhere from Mt Etna to Cefalu. Locally, Erice is about an hour away and well worth the visit. Palermo is also less than an hour's drive. Overall, a nice and peaceful hideaway which served as a great location for getting around the island. We very much enjoyed our holidays, but you definitely need a car to get the most out of it.

Villa situated in a small village close to the coast. The nearest beach some 1/2 kilometre away. Safe swimming with beach cafes. Supermarket 1.5 kilometres away. Scopello well worth a visit. Great views from the tower. Good restaurants, excellent ice cream. Hired Vincente's brother to take us on an afternoon boat trip (5 hours) along the coast. Superb swimming.

We were happy to spend two weeks at the villa dei Pini. There was everything our family needed, the house is very comfortable and spacious. Sitting and relaxing on the big terrace we enjoyed a nice view on a lovely garden with many fruit trees and plants. Our kids loved the garden and the house. Vincenzo is very friendly and helpful. He took us on a boat trip along the coast, he was very attentive, told us a lot of interesting things. We swam in clear water and enjoyed beautiful view. Thank you Vincenzo for a great time in your villa and your hospitality. We are very happy with our choice.
