Reviewer Comments: The condo could use some tweaks; blinds did not close all the way, panels missing; in need of a new mattress, shower, curtain, and master bath bathroom shower. kitchen trashcan with a top. Or, very quick kitchen, silverware, glasses, etc..

Instructions could have been upon entering complex turn left for building 2. Enter unit from garage. Our guest had to have and item overnighted by UPS. Guestbook instructions were to have it sent to office at Palmetto address. Did so then alerted office of arrival, only to have them tell us it should go directly to our unit. Was able to have address changed before shipping but book needs to be revised. Tub drained too slow. Got worse by last day. Caulking on tub need to be re-done, looks dirty. Checkout instructions said to put garbage at a certain location but no indication where that was for our unit.

Reviewer Comments: Even with one night of Hurricane Helene blowing through the island, our trip was full of great memories on the beach, at the courts, by the pool and hanging out.

The facilities at Palmetto Dunes we enjoyed most were the updated pools, the bike paths, pickleball and golf. The sharing box in the garage was great, we were able to find a couple of chairs and boogie boards which was great!Pros: The condo was spacious and comfortable for our family of four. Kitchen is nicely updated, and the appliances all worked great. It was so nice not to return home with a ton of laundry! There was plenty of dinnerware/utensils/cups. Having 2 balconies was nice. Cons: Issues with the cleanliness of the condo upon check-in were quickly remedied once we reported them. The furniture is the condo was outdated, heavy, and included lots of glass (may be an issue with small children). The beds were not comfortable at all, mattresses very thin and extremely noisy. Pillows were older and some were stained. The AC worked great in the living room, but not as strong in the master bedroom- but a fan did help with that, especially at night.Overall, condo was as described and we had a great stay at Palmetto Dunes!

I would suggest checking the water pressure on the kitchen sink but other than that, we loved it!

In fact we've rented the unit again for next year. That said, there are a few items in the unit that should be addressed. The bathroom door in the guest bedroom is not properly closing and should be re-hinged. The shower in the master bedroom should have a curtain or door placed on it. It's impossible to shower there without flooding the bathroom floor. We had to shower in the guest bath.
