Stayed Dec 25, 2022We enjoyed our stay overall in this private home in Placencia. It is by the water, has nice views of the lagoon and good wifi (important for us), good AC, decent beds, large smart TV, and a small pool. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars was that despite a full kitchen it was not so well supplied - there were only 2 pans and a cookie sheet for using the stove; no serving dishes or larger bowls. We're a family of 5 adults and cooking for ourselves was challenging. Please add - large frying pan with lid, 6 qt pot with lid, baking dish, salad bowl, plastic cups for using by pool. We managed, but it was a little disappointing. We considered buying pans but the stores in Placencia have limited supply. The other issue is the gecko droppings, a fact of life here no doubt, but they visited the upstairs bathroom every night, and it was disconcerting to find all over the sink area every morning without fail. The rest of the house was not an issue. The no-see-ums are also quite fierce here, though plenty of bug repellent was provided. Our property manager was very communicative, and we liked both the tours arranged - snorkeling & lunch with Akeem, and cave tubing & Zip-lining & Xunantunich temple with Robin and would recommend them.

Stayed Apr 22, 2022As the pictures indicate, the property is set back nicely and away from others. We loved how the main floor west facing doors opened up completely. It made for a great spot to drink our morning coffee. We used the pool regularly and when we wanted to retreat inside we had excellent internet speeds to watch Netflix and Amazon. Jack was super easy to work with and made check in/out a breeze. We would definitely book the property again. We loved it. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Stayed Mar 3, 2022This home was an excellent location. It is on the lagoon side which has calm waters and less windy than the Gulf. The Gulf is in walking distance. Very spacious home for three couples. The home provided privacy and beautiful scenery. I would stay at this place again. The property manager hooked us up with Akeem who provided us with multiple experiences that were off the beaten path and absolutely amazing. Through Akeem, we had an affordable boat day which included snorkeling, island hoping, a fantastic meal, and historical information on belize among other wonderful adventures. Nothing was touristy everyone was friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Stayed Feb 8, 2022Laguna Tramonto, the name says it all. Beautiful sunsets over the lagoon with the Mayan Mountains as a backdrop. Our family really enjoyed staying at this well-appointed home. All the necessities were provided, in addition to two kayaks for exploring the laguna. Very clean. A pool looking out over the lagoon was a perfect end to a day touring beautiful and wonderful Belize. Property management was very accessible and helpful. They provided suggestions for our wonderful tour guides for land (Barefoot Services) and water adventures (Akeem Island Hopping) and area restaurants. Maya Beach is a perfect location for exploring Placencia - not too far away from Placencia Village by golf cart but far enough and secluded enough to be quiet and peaceful. A great family vacation place.
