Stayed Dec 29, 2018This is a beautiful and spacious house, with few houses currently built in the development, so it was very private, with lovely green fields around us. It was perfect for our 3 generations vacation, with a pool that kept the kids happy, plenty of space and options for family activities, and the peace and quiet that appealed to the grandparents. Having access to Verandah resort made this rental a winning combination: we could get more activity when anyone wanted it by using the beaches and facilities there, an easy walk or drive away. The house would benefit from cushions on the chaise lounges on the back verandah: if there were some we could not find them. All in all we were very happy with our choice of this rental. Stayed Dec 31, 1969House was perfect from all angles. Roomy with high ceilings, space aplenty and en-suite bedrooms. The pool and garden was good size and well maintained by friendly staff team. Walking distance to lovely beach and Veranda hotel. Only minor challenge was self-catering supplies as the supermarkets are on either side of the island and village stores were all canned supplies. So the rental car helped. We enjoyed the use of the pools, table tennis and crazy golf at the hotel too. Veranda could not have been more helpful when our daughter suffered some nausea and summoned the local doctor for house calls. Another benefit was the detailed and fun users manual (about the house and island's tourist activities) that the owners have compiled from personal experience. We had a fabulous week.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This villa was fantastic and was perfect for me to relax and rejuvenate in the sun. It was well kept, spacious and has amazing views of the sunset in the evening and the sea from the large balcony upstairs. The outside area with the superb sized pool (which was cleaned regular) was great to cool down in after the warm heat of the Caribbean sun and the property has many outside tables and chairs so you are spoilt for choice on where to eat your meals, read or soak up the sun etc. Lastly, the deal with the Veranda Hotel is an added bonus as you have access to all their facilities including a gym, crazy mini-golf and water activities. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone who asks as it will not disappoint you in anyway.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This really is the most amazing villa. We spent 10 days there with children aged 14 & 12. We all LOVED it. Absolutely incredible views, beautifully furnished. Has to be one of the best villas in the area. Stunning master bedroom, so much space throughout, even the wardrobes are enormous! The pool was fantastic with really lovely sparkling clean water and kept regularly cleaned. Everything you need is provided. The reciprocal agreement with the Veranda Hotel was an incredible bonus for us and meant the children were able to windsurf, sail and kayak everyday. The villa even has a proper basketball hoop which my 12 year old absolutely loved. Highly recommended.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house is lovely - true to the pictures. The master bedroom suite is spacious. The pool was always cool and refreshing. The house is in a slightly remote part of the island but very close to the resort - so it's a nice option if you don't want to stay in busy resort but still have access to all the amenities - which were GREAT for us and for the kids on our trip with us. The house is well stocked for cooking meals at home as far as utensils and pots/pans etc. The only thing that we REALLY frustrating with the house was the internet. It NEVER worked during the day and only sporadically but really slowly during the evenings -- so don't try to work while on vacation! The food at the resort was pretty awful and overpriced but the little Italian place down the street was good - it closes very early but they were nice enough to do a quick takeout for us. The beaches were lovely...but not the best snorkeling I've ever seen.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I had one of the best weeks of my life at this property. I was sharing it with a lovely group of people, and I will forever feel privileged to have spent some time here. Antigua is somewhere that you always dream of going and I was really nervous that it wouldn't live up to my expectations, I'd never been anywhere like it before. Fortunately my expectations were exceeded in more ways than I could have imagined and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The villa was just beautiful. We drove past hundreds of other houses across Antigua and not one came close to this one; it was amazing. The short walk to the beach was ideal for those who wanted some time in the sea and sand, whilst the Verandah hotel was only across the road. We felt very safe and secure and the pool area was extremely popular and once again absolutely beautiful. Put this together with 10 of your best friends and the week flies by, so by the end none of was wanted to leave and I would love to go back there again if I got the chance. Thank you so much!!! Bru

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The villa is everything it promised to be - fantastic location, excellent interior layout, and everything one would hope for, in a tranquil and secure setting. The pool was brilliant and there's even a basketball post if that takes your fancy! I went out with a group of friends and we honestly had a fantastic week - I would certainly book it again without thinking twice. The link with Verandah Hotel means that if you want a slightly more active holiday you can, with a beach volleyball court, sea kayaks, crazy golf and tennis courts to name but a few! The taxis are reasonable if you want to travel around the island a bit, and there are some great restaurants if this is the case. There is so much to do if you do venture out - boat trips, visiting the capital St Johns, taking a trip to Shirley Heights (highly recommended!), and visiting the many beautiful beaches, however if none of that appeals the villa is so well-equipped that if you don't want to leave, you wouldn't have to! Would 100% recommend this villa to anyone wanting a beautiful, relaxing holiday.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house was exquisite, fitted with a bathroom for each guest. The kitchen, combined with a breakfast bar made every moment in the house a social one. Outside is a refreshing swimming pool, with beautiful sea view...And if you don't fancy the pool, the beach is a 6 minutes walk away. White sand and crystal clear water...it really is what I call a holiday. For children, any ages there is the Veranda Hotel across the road, which provides mini golf, volley ball, a cinema, tennis and even a gym. The nightlife is lively and cultured, I suggest popping over to Shirley Heights on a Sunday night. However, the house is cool and cozy enough to have a relaxing night in. The house and location was superb and I will definitely want to say here again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Brightside made our Antigua holiday really memorable. There were six of us - 2 late sixties grandparents, 2 late forties parents and 2 kids aged 11 and 9. The villa is incredibly spacious and airy (even if there were 8 people, not just us 6). It's facilities are first class throughout - a comprehensive set of top class appliances (eg. American style washer, drier, large oven and hob, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer with ice-maker), air-conditioning and ceiling fans in abundance, more than enough furniture both inside, and outside on the large covered terraces, and a lovely large swimming pool with waterfall. The location is superb - quiet and peaceful, with sea views back and front, yet within a few minutes walk of Long Bay beach (lovely swimming and snorkelling, and 3 beach bars/ restaurants) where locals and holiday-makers mix in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The villa is also a few minutes walk away from The Verandah resort, with which it has a relationship, ie. you can use all the resort's facilities - swimming pools, beach activities, tennis, mini-golf, shuttle service between reception and the various bars and restaurants, etc. The resort also looks after the villa if there are any issues (there weren't for us). Brightside is situated in a quiet part of Antigua, but only a half-hour drive from the airport, and from St Johns (where there is an excellent large American style supermarket), and from most of the Island's many great beaches and attractions (eg. English Harbour/ Nelson's Dockyard/ Shirley Heights). If you're looking for a luxury villa holiday in Antigua, stay at Brightside.
