With outstanding views of the town and ocean, Villa Luz, one of the larger villas in Madeira, is a superb villa with great leisure facilities, including a heated infinity pool, large solarium, games room and capacity for 12.
Located in a premium tranquil residential area of Funchal, close by you will find all the facilities you may need and easy access to town and, via the expressway, to all areas of Madeira.

On the ground floor, a very spacious open-space lounge and elevated diningarea with direct sea-view is complemented by a separate private TV room.
A fully equipped kitchen features a breakfast table and TV and leads to the covered veranda with outdoor dining table and built-in barbecue overlooking the pool, Funchal and the sea.
The whole front of the villa is the south-facing solarium that features a magnificent infinity style heated pool overlooking Funchal and the ocean. Of the villas in Funchal, this one very probably provides the best view of the new year's eve fireworks and cruise ships in the harbour.
A large games/leisure room with pool table, table football and a treadmill can be found in the lower ground floor.

On the first floor is the Master bedroom with dressing area, en-suite bathroom and private balcony. A further room with a double bed and two rooms each with two single beds share the family bathroom and a full-length south-facing balcony. All offer direct sea-views from this beautiful villa.
Off the games/leisure room in the lower ground floor is an interior fifth double bedroom (no windows to the outside) and separate shower room.
On the 1st floor bedroom landing is a single chaise longue bed with mattress, underneath of which is a pull out mattress, for the 11th and 12th persons (more appropriate for children - you can see this in the pictures).

The largest shopping centre on the island is less than a kilometre away; closer by is a large branded supermarket, shops, bank and pharmacy. The nearest supermarket and bakery/café is approximately 350 metres away and the nearest restaurant 300m away.

Heating: Heating is optional and costs 250,00€ per week, paid in cash on arrival.
Pool heating can be provided and should be requested at least one week in advance. Should it be requested after arrival at the villa, the minimum charge applicable is one week, which is payable from the time the heating is turned on.
The pool heating will be set at 25ºC but please note the pool water temperature will vary according to time of day, and prevailing weather conditions, such as low air temperatures, rain or storms. This particularly applies to the months from November to March.

The property is gated and there is secure parking for one or more cars inside.
The laundry with washing machine is on the lower ground floor.

Public transport is plentiful. The bus stop is 250m away. Taxis are very reasonable and the nearest rank is only 1Km away.
The nearest facilities (supermarket, café, restaurant) are 600 metres away. The largest hypermarket on the island, bank, pharmacy, and other shops are only 1Km away.

Cleaning
The property is prepared for your arrival. For stays of longer than 7 nights, a change of linen and towels, and light mid-stay cleaning of bathrooms is provided on a day and time to be advised at check-in.
All linen and towels are provided.
For health reasons, linen for a baby cot is not provided and you should bring your own.
Guests need to vacate the villa during a mid-stay clean and change of linen.

Booking notes
The rental value varies with the number of people occupying the property, so please ensure you enter the correct dates, number of adults, children and infants. Please note that supplements apply should additional people join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a 30% deposit, or the full amount if you are arriving within 8 weeks. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
A security deposit of 300€ is required by credit card prior to check-in.

The property is equipped with CCTV cameras located at the south gate entrance, west-side garage entrance, west-side main entrance, north garden area, east-side BBQ area, and east-side balcony of the master bedroom, for security purposes only.

Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.
Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made and an additional cost will apply.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.
A security deposit of 300€ is required by credit card prior to check-in.
