EV_760 - Golden Escape | 7 Bed Vacation Home with Private Pool, Theater Room,Gam

We enjoyed staying in this beautiful house. Each room had their own bathroom and the theater and pool were nice.Note- 2 of the recliners in the theater don’t work and it cost extra to heater the pool and hot tub. We were aware of this prior by email notification and reading other reviews. Property managers were quick to answer all questions, and check out instructions we’re simple.

We had issues with this property from day 1. This has was infested with roaches in the kitchen area. Even though they sent someone for pest control, we continued to see more roaches daily. Also, the two beds for the downstairs were terrible. They finally sent a mattress on the 4th day for one of the beds but never did anything for the master bedroom. We asked for assistance after day 1 of relocating if the issues could not be resolved or reimbursed and we would leave the property. We never got any assistance and finally ended up leaving the property 4 days early with some assistance from VRBO. The area and neighborhood was good but the owner does not care about the upkeep of this house. There were also issues with the dishwashers (1 partially worked), microwave, and garbage disposal (does not work). The theater room does not have a receiver to connect to watch movies. So unless you are a little tech savvy and bring your own console to connect, you will not be able to use it. This really dampened out trip because we tried to book a home in a area that was above par since we would be there 10 days but we were extremely disappointed. The older couples were not able to get a good nights rest because of the bed situation in the downstairs bedrooms. We did not receive any type of reimbursement, assistance, or apologies from this home provider. Spend your money somewhere else.

The property was largely as advertised. Spacious, inviting, convenient and very comfortable. Bedroom and living areas were spacious. Large kitchen and very nice outdoor space. Movie theater projector and kitchen sink disposal did not work. Property would benefit from having additional instructions as to how to operate TV's (direct TV) etc. Some of the beds are in need of replacement as they are worn out. Disappointed that the outdoor grill was locked and could not be utilized. Tried to pay to have the pool heated and was told by the mgmt company that the pool heater was broken. Only one set of towels per room. Need to have a second garbage can as we quickly filled the only one that was on property.

Travelled with my senior executives, and I was now put in charge of booking our annual Florida House. They have been coming to reunion for 16, I am on my 12th year in Reunion during February. We have always had issues, but being younger I thought hey let's use VRBO. The listing says a grill. Yes it has one but it is chained. You do not know this until the checkin email is sent. So we had to spend money on a grill rental. Bosses were not thrilled. The TVs did not work, it took about 48 hours for that to be fixed. After the fact, only half of the TVs worked. They mentioned they would replace the 2 outdoor TVs and 4 common area TVs upstairs. They were not fixed in our 3 week stay. One electrical circuit was clicking in my bosses room so he had to move. That took about 4 days to fix. The microwave did not spin. They came and said they would need to replace the motor. They said 48 hours and they would fix it. Well we never had a microwave and they seemed to brick it so it stopped working completely. So ease of cooking and heating up breakfast in the morning was no longer an option. We called within 24 hours of lack of water heat (takes 5 minutes to heat up, not the end of the world) and also the water pressure in sink and upstairs. Nothing was done. Pool heat is broken. Rugs/Carpets are stained. pots and pans are disgusting. Trying to remedy this with property manager, they said all the above was worked on, so its out of there hands. Shame.

The house size is nice and has potential; however, the owners have lacked keeping it clean. Multiple bugs in the kitchen area including a large cockroach climbing up the wall. There was a dead lizard on the living room floor as well. The mattresses were all in very bad shape, very uncomfortable. Thankfully none of them contained any bed bugs. Many stains left on the carpet and needs to be cleaned if not replaced. Had I booked this house for my family to stay in I would have been very upset, to the point I would have found another rental and left immediately. Look elsewhere!

So off the bat, this group was a bunch a male friends down in Florida playing golf. Some of the things in the house did not function. The directTv and Theater had no function at all during the trip. This I know would've upset my family if I brought them. However this house, Reunion, Central Florida and the rental company were great to deal with.

The property was beautiful and exceeded our expectations! It's located inside of a gated community with security. Check-in was seamless and easy. We were able to get our luggage unloaded and get our guys trip underway!

The house is beautiful and massive located within the Reunion Resort. Easy to find and lots of room to gather with family. The outside living area also very nice! Unfortunately, even after checking with the management company beforehand, there was no working live TV available throughout the house. The Direct TV was malfunctioning so I called the management company upon arrival and they didn't send someone out until the next afternoon and the tech did not remedy the problem. My family was looking forward to watching football (and just TV in general) throughout our stay but the issue was not resolved after multiple phone calls over a 3 night stay. Having a theater room without any instructions how to function it or access to watching anything on the screen was also pointless so we were very disappointed. Would definitely recommend the house but they should really remedy this problem within 7 bedroom TV's, a living room TV and theater room.

Place is clean, furniture is old. Fan and light and TV out back don’t work.

The pool was dirty, dead frogs, worms and other debris in it. They did not send anyone to clean it until the day before we checked out. We had plans outside the house that day so we were never able to use the pool. Ceiling fans outside on lanai did not work which made it get uncomfortable outside in the heat. Stains on sheets on bed when we checked in. Called management company every day regarding problems and there was no urgency or follow up communication. Very disappointed.

The communication was a challenge from the moment I booked until we left. Check in was okay... still lacked in the communication. As far as the property... we had an issue with appliances not working and functioning properly (garbage disposal was stopped up with nasty smelling food, microwave was broken, refrigerator was dirty as well). The blinds were broken in the master bedroom downstairs and someone had tried to fix it with duct tape... the mattress was also not right. The neighborhood was very nice. One thing I can suggest to anyone wanting to rent this property is if you want to change your reservation to extend days, do so a month ahead of time. They literally charged me $75 for an early check in (3 hours earlier than the time they stated) and they also charge almost $400 for an extra day (and the day at the time of booking was included in the reservation). This was my first time using VRBO for booking a property and this makes me very reluctant to use them again.

The house is amazing. Some needs improvements before guest arrive would be: have a cleaning just before guest arrival/checkin. There’s always going to be creepy crawlers but having to see the deceased ones lying around wasn’t Pleasant. Provide HOA rules to guest to prevent getting tickets during their stay. Point out how trash disposal and service works and last but not least, owner can/should replace/provide blinds for the down downstairs living/bedrooms at a minimum. Privacy matters to some. Some of my maintenance request weren’t addressed. As stated before, working through these things, the house was amazing.

It was Husband & my Sister in law Birthdays. We had a Private Chef come in and prepare Dinner. Everything was great. We had issue with the cable, but they sent someone over immediately to fix the problem. We were there a week and everything was great. The house is beautiful, just as it is in pictures. I tried to rent for Christmas, but its not available. I will definitely stay again.
