Sa Cabana d'es Vicari is located in a rustic finca in the mountains of Fornalutx surrounded by fruit trees at 500 meters above sea level.

Built at the beginning of the 19th century, the current owners have restored it preserving the flavor of the old Majorcan mountain houses.

The space

It is a mountain estate. It is 500 meters above sea level. Perfect for those who want to rest and take walks in the countryside.

The road from Biniaraix is 4 kms with 97 curves although it is asphalted it is narrow and the first time it is amazing, although the clients when they leave the house usually say that it is not as hard as at first they feared.



The finca is ideal for couples, families and/or hikers who wish to spend a relaxing vacation amidst the beautiful mountain scenery of the Serra de Tramontana (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).



The village of Fornalutx has a title as the most beautiful villages of Spain.

Only 5 km from the center of Fornalutx, 5 km from Sóller and 9 km from Puerto de Sóller and its beautiful beach.

Services and common areas

It has several terraces, swimming pool with solarium, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, old renovated and equipped kitchen, two dining rooms, and a large living room, also integrated into the house there is an old mill.



Guests have 700,000 square meters to walk around the estate, among olive trees and holm oaks, as long as they respect the environment and keep the doors closed to prevent the lambs from escaping.

The whole house is at your disposal except for the rooms that the property keeps locked.

No air conditioning but there are fans in all rooms.

Other highlights

AN IMPORTANT FACT: Because the access road to the finca is very narrow and steep, it is recommended to rent a small car. From the village of Sóller to the house it is about 25 minutes driving on a mountain road. There is no public or private transport to the property.



It is forbidden to come with electric cars as they cannot be charged on the property. The energy is solar with the support of an electric generator but it is not strong enough to charge an electric car.



Once in the house you will be given specific indications, such as to avoid wasting water, the electricity is solar powered except when putting in machines such as dishwashers etc. which starts a backup generator, and to attend to any questions that guests request.



Parties or similar events are not allowed.

The minimum age to do the check-in is 25 years old.



Check in after 9 pm can be arranged for an extra fee.

    Clean rooms, a lot of bedding, great views around and near property. The way up is steep and narrow so just need to be a good driver

    Sa Cabana is a wonderful house with multiple historic features of interest. It is also very comfortable with excellent bedrooms, bathrooms and very good kitchen. The pool area is a special place and we had a great experience of seeing much wildlife around especially falcons which flew over incredibly fast late afternoon. Garden area is amazing for walking around and the oranges and lemons are a joy to eat and use for cooking. Overall it was a wonderful stay. We advise to definitely observe the advice to get a small car to negotiate the very twisty access road, but the remote nature of the house makes for a wonderful experience in mountains and nature with wonderful views and sunsets.
