Charming Trulli Villa in Ostuni per 8 + 1 with private pool, BBQ, wifi

What a wonderful place to spend time with family. The trulli’s are very nicely renovated and breath such a relaxed atmosphere, it’s all very well thought trough. Nice swimming pool, fully functional kitchen, nice bathrooms. Sleeping in the trulli is the icing on the cake! Contact with both owner and caretaker couldn’t be better, such nice and warm people, we will be back! Grazie mille per un paio di giorni molto belli!

The late March weather was cold and rainy but we enjoyed our stay at Trulli La Pietraia. Everything was clean and inviting -beautifully decorated. It was centrally located to many interesting areas. Carola provided an excellent listing of location shops and restaurants. Would love to come back when the weather is warmer!

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at La Pietraia at the end of May. The location was ideal for our touring of Puglia. The highlights were a visit to Lecce to see the baroque buildings in the old city, the old city of Alberobello with its ~1500 trulli, the grottos at Castellana Grotte and the cliff side town of Polignano a Mare. We also quite enjoyed our local city of Ostuni and found easy access to a very decent grocery store (Familia) which satisfied all our needs. The villa was very clean and comfortable and located in an enchanting setting. There were plenty of places to relax outside the lamia, by the pool, on the roof terrace or over at the outdoor dining table. In the evenings, the lamia was quite accommodating for the 5 of us. We used the pool quite a bit as we had some very warm days. The setting for the villa is quite peaceful and private. There are fruit trees and olive trees growing on the property. Each of the three suites was self contained and quite comfortable. The kitchen facilities were quite suitable for the occasional supper we cooked at home. On our arrival we were met by Ada who looks after the place. Her English was a bit limited but she had a great translation app on her phone, and I also spoke directly with Carola by phone. We were made to feel very welcome. Carola was very approachable through email and responded to questions very quickly. Ahead of the visit, Carola had contacted me to find out if we were interested in having food delivered on our first night. That was a great idea and we enjoyed a wonderful meal delivered to us by Daniele from his home restaurant near Ceglie Messapica. We enjoyed this so much that later in the week we went to his place for dinner which was in a fabulous trulli home with a huge outdoor wood fired oven. The food was very nice and lots of it. We were a bit concerned about the water supply because of the cautions about it being a tank that has to be filled by truck. However, we exercised a little caution with our usage and never had an issue. Overall, we had a great week at the villa and would have no problem at all recommending it to family and friends. The villa is much nicer than in the website. Carola was so nice to us when we arrived ( late evening ). You feel very secured and you have all the comodities close to the villa.

Beautiful villa in a great location south of Ostuni. The owner is an architect with an eye for detail and that is reflected in the quality of the finishing in the villa. Each double room has its own excellent shower room and separate entrance so good for friends and family. If there were any issues the owner was very responsive and helpful and spoke excellent English. Great pool and grounds with olive trees throughout.
