Stayed Sep 2, 2025It is a charming apartment, nice, clean, tidy with easy access to groceries, restaurants & tram. The yard & laundry are shared. The only draw back for us was the access to the bed...its a bit awkward.The property owners were very friendly & helpful. Thank you very much!

Stayed Sep 13, 2021This place made us feel at home. It has so much character, charm and a big green space outside the back. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. Birgit and Axel were always available when we needed assistance. Our dog Zippy enjoyed the backyard and the nearby Schoenholzer Heide (massive park) too. We will definitely be back.

Stayed Aug 5, 2019We had a wonderful stay in Berlin. The apartment was exactly what we needed. A charming little place in a beautiful garden. We explored all over Berlin and loved coming home each night to this quiet and restful spot. A great location with easy access to public transportation, shops and restaurants. Our host was delightful and so helpful. We can't wait to come back.

Stayed Oct 27, 2018A warm welcoming flat, well equipped and full of character. We (two older guys) felt very much at home. No problem with parking. Childrens' toys and games available. Looks onto a large garden. 5 mins' walk to M1 tram stop to Friedrichstrasse and Kupfergraben in Mitte (city centre): around 40 mins overall. A pleasant quiet leafy district with large Kaiser-period houses: 15 mins' walk to a lovely park with Panke stream. 5 mins' walk to two supermarkets. Futon and bed comfortable. No microwave in kitchen but good oven and hob. We would definitely stay here again. Landlord/lady very pleasant. Thoroughly recommended.

Stayed Dec 7, 2017This was the second time we stayed at Birgit's and Alex's wonderful home, and they were yet again the most perfect hosts! The basement flat (split-level) is well-equipped with a very comfortable sitting room and modern-style kitchen. The underfloor heating makes especially the bedroom area and bathroom very cosy. There is a nice restaurant and big new supermarket within 3 minutes walking distance. The tram is close by and there is a regular bus service which brings you to the S1/25 (S-Bahn to the inner-city). This suburbian area of Berlin is really nice and we shall defintely be back next year!
