Stayed Apr 19, 2025We enjoyed our stay at Surfside. The pool and hot tub were a great hit with our family after our days out at the beaches. The walk down to the beach was great as well. The kitchen had everything you need to make meals. They provided beach chairs, towels, and coolers which was very helpful. We would stay here again.

Stayed Feb 25, 2024We had a great time on our St. John vacation. The communication with the property manager was spot on and the people who met us to show us around the property were very knowledgeable and friendly. The house was clean. We did not feel like the hot tub was useable because it did not appear to be very clean. The pool was nice, however, the trees around the area were overgrown and covering our view of the beautiful water.

Stayed Jan 9, 2024We had a wonderful stay. The location allowed a quick walk to the beach, although we did all of our swimming and snorkeling on the other side of the island in calmer water. With an eastern view, the sunrises will beautiful. The villa comfortably accommodated 3 adult couples. It would not be suitable for a family with young children as the bedrooms are on 3 different levels. Convenient to Cruz Bay without the traffic and congestion. It was very peaceful. We hope to be able to organize a return visit.

Stayed Feb 19, 2020This home is managed by Caribbean Villas and Resorts and we could not have been more impressed with the level of service they provided. The house itself offers a stunning view of endless ocean. There is a relatively easy and maintained path from the house to the water. Although it it possible to bring along a (provided) beach chair and enjoy your own quiet slice of ocean, we chose not to as the beach is rocky and there are sea urchins living between the rocks. Also, St. John offers several stunning white sand beaches that we thought were a more pleasant way to spend a day. The house is clean, open and airy. Some of the windows were not working but we were informed that the owners were planning on addressing this issue. We found that the sliders and doors to the decks along with the wonderful ocean breezes provided more than enough ventilation. Also, some of the appliances were not in prime condition. The refrigerator runs very cold and the washing machine requires an additional spin cycle. These feel like small complaints compared to the beauty of the scenery and the lovely, quiet location of the house. My absolute favorite part of this property was lying in bed ay night and viewing the stars. The location of the bed combined with the wide open, dark Caribbean sky, created a feeling of sleeping in the stars. It was magical!

Stayed Feb 13, 2020Our stay at Reef Bay was lovely. The property is literally on the edge of the National Park on the last Bay before public lands. Houses on the bay are few as compared to the rest of the island and the house itself is situatated perfectly to maximize both views and privacy. Few other houses are visible from the house and the elevation from the beach (around a 5 minute walk down a rough trail) offers stunning sea and coastal views. The house itself is well equipped for cooking, very comfortably appointed, and just right for groups of 3-6. Pretty little pool and jacuzzi much appreciated. The jacuzzi was not well maintained but was operational. I know the island well and don't think there's a better location than Reef Bay other than possibly East End for those who seek remoteness. The greeter did not know the house well and was not able to provide basic information about beach access, swimming safety (an issue given surf and urchins). The fridge froze our precious St Thomas groceries, which was unfortunate for veggies and fruit given the cost of St John food shopping. All in all, a special place that we'd strongly recommend
