Stayed Jun 6, 2023We stayed here for 5 nights. We were 7 people in total. We used all 4 bedrooms. The house had everything we needed including dishes, linens, and all the other basics. Every room has a split AC system. This home is within the walls of a 1000 year old castle which is also a fully operational winery. Across from the home is an incredible garden with a swimming pool and endless views. There is a small town just 3 or 4 minutes away with a small market and coffee shop. There are many other towns all within 30 minutes or so including the largest which is Siena. We had an amazing time in this home. All the employees were polite and helpful with whatever request we had. We were also able to get a full tour of the castle and got to experience a free wine tasting. I highly recommend this home.

Stayed Sep 13, 2022Wow - probably the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. It feels like floating on clouds above vineyards and olive trees as far as the eye can see. Perfectly located within Chianti. Easy access to countless wineries, towns, restaurants, etc. The pool area is massive and meticulously maintained. The villa itself is massive, has stunning views from all rooms, and is just beautiful in general.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We can't say enough about how amazing this place is, from top to bottom. A truly lovely and practical and roomy villa in a castle, with a private pool and a view that never tires. It was hot while we were there and so we used the pool and took advantage of the air conditioning (there's a unit in every room in the house), and then there's the jacuzzi on the top deck, which was especially great at night when the temperature dropped a bit and the sky was as clear as you've ever seen for star-gazing. Of course this being a working winery there was never an issue finding a variety of bottles, and a nearby store in a town down the hill provided enough provisions (larger groceries are a little further away, but not a lot). Our host was both accessible and gracious , and check-in and check-out was a breeze. You definitely need a car - anywhere in Tuscany really requires one - but you may not feel the need to leave this place every day because of how wonderful it is.

Stayed Jun 9, 2022I can't say enough about the experience. From every window, you look out over rolling hills of working vineyards and olive trees. The stone building is ancient, but it still has modern comforts including air conditioning, dish washer, washing machine, pool, and rooftop hot tub. Nadia and the staff were extremely helpful and kind. I'd go back tomorrow if work would allow it!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969There is nothing but wonderful things to say about out stay at Castello Di Cacchiano. We had seven beautiful days here and can’t wait to go back. The view, accommodation kitchen every bit of it was absolutely spectacular. A great location to travel to near by Sienna, Montepulcianio, Pisa which is a longer drive for a day trip but well worth it and even Florence.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were two couples staying in Tuscany for a week in June 2014 at this property. We had opted for the larger of the two areas of the villa because we wanted exclusive access to the pool. The villa had enough space to sleep about four families - it was huge! The pool is not heated, so if you are big swimmers, don't go to Tuscany in Spring - the weather was wonderful, but the pool was too cold to use. I imagine it would be glorious in the heat of the summer though. Our favourite spots were in the roof top hot tub at night, and the little bistro table look-out spot beside the pool in the morning. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Siena. The bathrooms were all modern and updated - a delightful treat to have in a 300 year old property. The beds were ok - typical Italian beds - a bit too short for us tall folks, and no king size beds. For us, that wasn't the reason we were there, but it could be a deal breaker for some. You would need a vehicle to get there, or take a cab from the Siena train station. It's pretty easy to find using the directions the property provides to you. We saw there was one bus route close by that ran once daily to Siena in the morning, and back again in the evening, so if you were relying on trains and busses, it is possible to stay there and still tour around. There are vineyards with wine tastings within a short drive or longer walk (but still do-able for the avid walker). The property is known in the region for it's olive oil, and I recommend bringing some back - it really is the best tasting olive oil I've ever had. I really want to take my extended family and live there for the summer one day. It's amazingly beautiful, and the property management is very accommodating and helpful.
