Playa Blanca is located in the south of the island of Lanzarote. It is the third most important tourist area of the island. It belongs to the district of Yaiza and in recent decades has experienced a boom in the tourism sector that has made it a remarkable point and of great interest to those who visit the island.
A small sandy beach with crystal clear blue water located in the heart of the town gives its name to the area. With its marked fishing tradition, the town of Playa Blanca has gone from being an almost non-existent place to become a point of interest not only for tourism but also cultural, with its port allowing maritime connection to the neighboring island of Fuerteventura.
The paradisiacal beaches of Papagayo, where the first documented conquerors entered, continue to maintain its air of mystery as they are located within the Ajaches Natural Monument with almost two kilometers where you will find several beach coves of golden sand and turquoise waters.
Playa Blanca has an extensive seaside avenue that borders almost all its coastline and will allow you to enjoy walking along from the Coloradas area towards the Pechiguera Lighthouse, where you can enjoy unforgettable sunsets.
From Playa Blanca it is easy to move around and visit the island by car. You will find the Timanfaya National Park just 20 minutes away, within which are the Fire Mountains, one of the most important enclave of the island that should not be missed during your visit as well as the coastal area of Los Hervideros - El Golfo.
The island has 9 official Tourist Centers and on their website cactlanzarote you can find all the information you need.
We also recommend a visit to the César Manrique Foundation where you can learn a lot about this local artist whose architectural and sculptural works are visible throughout the island of Lanzarote.
The villa was just as described. We had a lovely welcome gift of water, muesli, milk and other provisions which was really good as we arrived late. The villa is in an excellent location with just a short walk to the marina and supermarket. Great to have a dishwasher and washing machine too The house had everything we needed and was very clean but the property, especially the pool, could do with painting and modernisation.
Lovely little villa about 15 min walk from the marina with plenty of restaurants and the best bar in Playa Blanca The Flagship. Villa was very clean, could do with a little updating and more glasses for general drinking and around the pool. Few minor niggles when we arrived that were dealt with swiftly by manager. Fantastic views of the harbour and Montana Roja. Great stay, would come back again.
Excellent wifi. Heated pool. Views. 2 bathrooms. BBQ. Shower hot water supply and pressure
lovely villa in a quiet location only 10 mins walk from the Marina. Very secluded at the back with amazing views of Montana Roja as the sun went down. A few extra touches would make this villa much better...an outside shower by the pool, more plastic glasses for by the pool as only pint glasses and small child's tumblers, in need of a bit of updating but all in all we had a nice chilled 2 weeks
Wonderful aspect... south west facing patio. The location/ aspect of the villa meant that it is exposed to the wind, so we kept the cover on the pool to keep it clean. It’s a lovely villa, well supplied kitchen. Location very quiet but just 10 minutes walking from the marina and 20 minutes from the old town. Any queries or problems we had were quickly resolved. Dream homes representative Guja was always there to help if needed. The washing machine needs replacing as a number of hiking tops we had were badly snagged from it. The drains in the main bathroom need to be serviced. The back wall could do with glass fencing which would reduce the dust and the wind exposure on the pool and patio area.
We had a 7 day break and found the Villa clean and tidy on arrival. All the rooms were good and outside facilities were good. Person in number 37 parked in our space all week but didnt kick up a fuss as it wasnt worth it. We had a great week and the Marina was stunning, recommend the Italian Little Aphrodite to eat and the Jazz bar for the evenings for music. Taxis were 3 euros 50 cent back to villa in the evening. Good supermarket near (5 min walk ) the BBQ got well used as well. Woud easily stay again.
