Stayed Jan 17, 2026Beautiful palatial home with lots of privacy. Arthur is a wonderful host; response time was very quick to any questions we had. The added touch of local exotic fruits on our arrival was a comforting start to our vacation! Had everything we needed, to relax and come back to after exploring, even a little bar like area off the entrance with great mood lighting. Loved our time there. A memorable vacation!

Stayed Dec 27, 2025This property/stay was just AMAZING from beginning to end! Arthur was truly awesome to work with and went above and beyond to mae our stay wonderful! He drove to his special spots to get fresh fruit for us!!! Who does that???!!!!!! And let me tell you how delicious it was!!!!!!! I enjoyed listening to his philosophy behind his choosing this property and why he designed the house the way he did! You can really see his heart and passion in it! The home is incredibly large and spacious! It sits right on the water and has a pool attached. The sitting areas throughout the exterior are amazing and I can’t decide which hammock I loved the most! The home had a nice feel/vibe to it! We saw a pelicans fly by every day along with numerous other birds! The beach is wonderful and the pool was great as well! The home has many unique features that make it special! Arthur gave us a lot of information about the area and was incredibly easy to work with. The house is located in a great area near restaurants, and not too far from the village of Placencia. We would definitely stay here again and really loved our trip!

Stayed Jul 14, 2022Had a great time in this spacious and well-designed property. This is the most space we’ve ever had staying in Belize. Wonderful beach, as well as salt water swimming pool. Fully equipped kitchen and utility room. Not to mention great sunset views from upstairs terrace. We’ll definitely be back! ◦

Stayed May 13, 2022THE GOOD: • The host, Arthur, was very responsive to any questions/issues we had • The house was in a great location. Minutes from great food, supermarkets, national parks, etc • The view is incredible. • The patio and pool were fantastic places to lounge • There is a tiki hut near the private pier that was perfect for morning coffee THE BAD: • We were told the place was recently updated but I still can’t figure out what was “new”. • The door handle fell off just as we tried to open the door • The showers and toilets don’t drain very well. Took several hours for the shower basin to drain. • We ran out of hot water twice which means cold showers, can’t do dishes or laundry. • The washing machine stopped working. • The fridge downstairs went out and we almost lost all the food we had bought • The downstairs (level 1) has no AC and was completely unusable for hanging out because it was so hot; THE UGLY: • Belize is currently experiencing a terrible sargassum problem. this is something in the kelp/seaweed family and when it washes up on the beach it starts to rot and decay which produces a terrible smell. The house was thankfully not impacted much, but as you went south through to Placencia, it was just unbearable. Imagine a dead, rotting whale sitting out on the beach for days – that’s the smell.

Stayed Apr 14, 2022This is our second time here. We enjoyed being at the beachfront, the private pool, the pier where we go fishing. Beautiful view of the sea. The ground floor now has a full kitchen, full bathroom, entertainment center which made it so convenient.

Stayed Jan 30, 2022Probably the best house to beach experience I have had in 25 years of renting houses on the beach! It really does go right from the beautiful porch to The ocean. The worst part of this experience was the building next-door Construction very little peace and quiet they started before seven and didn’t stop until after 5 Pm there were moments when I felt like the seven dwarfs and their mining experience. If you have any hip or knee issues this is not the house for you no interior stair cases. If you enjoy wide open space this house has all of that

Stayed Dec 31, 2021We just returned from one of the most relaxing and wonderful vacations (10 days) in Placencia & cannot wait to go back. Arthur was an incredible host -- from the moment I first inquired about the property to my multiple messages with questions about the property, travel restrictions, adjusting our travel plans, video tour of new renovations, etc. he responded very quickly & was very accommodating. The home now has three bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, & a full kitchen downstairs with comfortable living room. There were so many incredible spots to relax on this property: the covered patio by the pool with hammock, loungers & dining area; spent many mornings under the palapa on the beach with coffee, a good book, watching the sunrise; on the dock to lay out & watch the incredible starry night skies (honestly haven't seen stars like that anywhere in my life). The beach was beautiful, sandy with warm & calm water. On some days the water isn't as clear due to the weather, but on some days it was super clear & we snorkelled right off the beach & dock. The home was well-appointed with everything we needed. At the end of our stay Arthur asked if there was anything to make the property better (he was so concerned about making sure we had the best stay, even came to rake the beach & clean the pool twice while we were there & toured us around the property to show us the various plants & fruit trees) -- the only suggestion was to provide hammocks or furniture on the dock gazebo, which he agreed to do. Another surprising bonus is the neighbouring property has a manager, Macario, who lives there & since the home didn't have guests at the time he was available to us to help us book some tours (he took us near his village to see Mayan ruins, spice farm & chocolate farm; he also arranged for us to be picked up at the dock & taken for an island hopping & snorkelling tour). He also was very generous to offer his family cook us a traditional Belizean dinner & his wife even came to help me remake it myself on another night so I could learn her 'tricks'. On our last morning we also hired him to make us an incredible breakfast since we were low on groceries. He doesn't pressure at all, very laid back & generous, didn't specify prices just allowed us to pay what we felt was fair & reasonable. All in all our first vacation to Belize was incredible and we cannot wait to come back!

Stayed Jul 26, 2021We had a great time at the Villa. The saltwater pool was one of the great amenities at this location. We enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks. Communication with both Arthur and Kisa was great. There are no numbers for addresses in Placencia at Plantation so you will have to know the name of the Villa. If you don’t you may have a difficult time finding it. For reference, if coming from the Placencia airport you will pass Seine Bright community, and Maya Beach Community and then you will enter the Plantation community in the Stann Creek District. Once you see an orange arch on the Caribbean Sea side it’s right around the bend with the wooden gates. You can’t miss it. The lower level isn’t quite finished yet but the upper level is great. Great marble and granite bathrooms in both rooms with showers. Watching the sunset and sunrises were great experiences. Beautiful scenery!! If you’re looking for a great and relaxing experience this is the place for you. Make sure you bring a book to read as well. ;-)
