We will definitely be back
We vacationed with two other families with multiple children. Aterno was able to accommodate all of us comfortably. The kitchen was amazingly stocked with every possible cooking item you could need to feed large family and guests. The views were breathtaking with well-kept grounds that made us feel like we were in the Italian countryside. We will definitely be going back again.
There was plenty of room for our family ( 6 couples and 2 singles) The kitchen was a good size with plenty of supplies to allow us to cook and eat in the house. There was enough room for parking 6 cars without having to hassle with blocking anyone in. The host was very helpful in every way possible, and very quick to respond if we had a problem. The only issue I would warn guest about is when we were there, the is not enough water pressure or hot water in the master bathroom or shared bathroom. It made it nearly impossible to get ready for a dinner reservation with one partially working shower for the 6 people that needed to use it. A plumber was contacted and came out to try and fix it, however, it was not fixable at that time. I hope that they fix the plumbing issue and guests can shower in their perspective bathrooms.
Breathtaking views, beautiful and tastefully furnished house with all necessary amenities for a weekend stay. Our group had a wonderful time and if we come back to Paso Robles we know where we now have a favourite location. The checkin and checkout process was smooth and easy to follow and Kelsey was great responding to questions and provided everything we needed ahead of time. Thank you
Such a beautiful location! This was our home base for my husbands birthday celebration, we had friends join us from various locations and everyone loved the house and beautiful surroundings. We sat outside every evening chatting and drinking wine and enjoying the sunset, it felt like being in Tuscany! Kelsey was great to work with, very responsive to all my questions and had great suggestions for the catered dinner we held for my husband. The house was very well stocked and we had all we needed to make meals. One thing to be aware of is that the beds in some of the rooms don’t fit adults. We had both the main and guest house and two of the bedrooms had very small twin beds and another had a pullout trundle bed, which our guests said wasn’t very comfortable. If you’re staying with younger kids, it should be fine but for all adults I’d have preferred a different set up. Otherwise our trip was amazing and we had a memorable time!
Great location to spend time with family. Just a few minor hiccups but nothing major. Dogs had a great time running around, and we enjoyed sitting outside taking in the views day and night. New coffee makers would be a plus. The two there took an hour to brew a pot. There was a Kurig but not enough pods for the family. We stopped By Costco on our way in to purchase pods, but they didn’t have any available. The drinking water out of the fridge was only a trickle. To us, these were minor inconveniences and we made it work. Definitely would recommend this location to friends.
We were had a reunion with family from both SoCal and NoCal at the lovely Aterno Estate. The house is large and comfortably furnished and easily accomodated the 13 adults and 1 baby. We did a lot of home cooking together and found the kitchen to be well stocked. A local Trader Joes and Vons and the Farmers Market met all our needs in terms of supply. The only downside with our stay was that the dishwasher was not working at the time of our stay but, Kelsey, our lovely host provided paper plates etc so we could minimize the amount of hand washing we needed to do. The views from the estate are absolutely breathtaking and we did hikes around the estate early morning followed by morning meditation on the front porch each day. So peaceful! The evenings were largely spent on the back porch where the sun went down. Again - spectacular views every evening. And the after long nights of board games and debates, our family enjoyed shooting stars from the estate every night. In terms of local attractions, we visited Sensario, Full Draw Winery and Law Estates Winery. We recommend all of them. We couldn't have asked for anything more and I am certain we will shall be returning. Kelsey was a joy to deal with, by the way.
Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay for a visit to Paso Robles
Very well equipped. Beautiful views from every angle. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here.
I spent an incredible few days at the Villa celebrating me and my husband’s birthday with our group of friends. The home itself is very clean and included everything we needed for our stay. House manager Kelsey went above and beyond to make our stay special and was a delight to work with! This is my one and only complaint with the property— the house is supplied with well-water and smells strongly of sulphur. No amount of plug-ins that Kelsey so thoughtfully added helped with this problem. I read most (if not all) of the reviews before booking this home and nowhere did I notice anyone mentioning this as a problem. Perhaps it wasn’t a problem for them? But it was a big problem for our entire group. It triggered my pregnant friend’s nausea, which I spent the weekend apologizing for and feeling horrible about. Kelsey assured me that the water was safe to use/shower with, but my pregnant friend was never at ease. Overall, the group had a good sense of humor about it—the weather was perfect and we spent most of our time outside of the home, which helped. We used bottled water that was supplied to brush our teeth, so the extra water was nice to have. But this is definitely something I would have liked to have known ahead of time. In summary: Beautiful home, very clean, thoughtful touches (like a delicious charcuterie board, wine and water upon arrival!) with the one downside for us being the sulphuric water and the odor that comes with it.
