Firenze, Toscana
The apartment, inserted in a historic complex on the hills of Florence, has been recently renovated.
It is the annex of a historic 15th century Florentine Villa, with independent access to the ground floor on the beautiful entrance garden of the Villa. The panorama is truly unique, overlooking the Duomo and the city.
Overall, in addition to the main Villa and another apartment on the upper floor with independent access, there is the private Chapel, the park, a panoramic garden at the back of the Villa with a “child-friendly” brick house and a lemon house, the olive grove and a grove.
All in perfect Tuscan style, immersed in the greenery and tranquility of the Tuscan hill, despite being only 3 km from the center of Florence, reachable in ten minutes.
The center of Florence is also easily reachable by public transport in about 15 minutes (line n ° 25) which stops near the gate of the Villa.
In the immediate vicinity, in the square of La Lastra, there are bars, a post office, groceries and a service station.
The apartment consists of a hall-entrance with open kitchen, a double bedroom with bathroom, a twin bedroom with mezzanine where two more beds are located, corridor with bathroom, laundry-pantry. The apartment is equipped with TV, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, oven and microwave, refrigerator with freezer, Internet and Wifi connection, air conditioning and alarm system.
It is particularly cool in summer and warm in winter.
A parking space is available in the driveway, protected by the entrance gate.
The highlight of the stay was the kindness and responsiveness of the host, Doreen. She was attentive to our needs and very accommodating. The booking from start to finish was informative and smooth. The grounds of the home are breathtaking and calm, there are expansive gardens and walking paths that include a stunning view of the city. The home was more than enough for our family of four. With two teenage daughters the two bathrooms were a very welcoming feature. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities to prepare our meals. The location is approximately 15-20 minutes from the city center, and therefore transportation needs to be carefully considered.
Doreen and Anna's generosity and warmth made a beautiful location a even more wonderful stay for my daughter and family! Thank you!
We had such a wonderful stay at this apartment Villa. The property is absolutely beautiful and the hosts were the BEST and most kind hosts we have ever had. We cannot wait to come back for another visit.
Stunning views of olive groves in the foreground and Florence's Duomo in the background. Doreen and Ana were great hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay a lovely one. They even shared their freshly pressed olive oil (which had just been harvested)! This is an ideal place for someone who doesn't necessarily want to be in the center every day during their trip (perhaps for someone who has been to Florence before or if you have a long enough trip planned this time) and who is hoping to have a semblance of the bucolic quietude that one might get if staying further out into the Tuscan countryside. The apartment, itself (bottom floor of one large guesthouse), is lovely, full of character, spacious, and clean.
We enjoyed our stay immensely. The hosts were very attentive and ask frequently if we needed anything. The accommodations were very good. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything that we needed. The patio was delightful, very charming. The grounds were well maintained and the views were awesome. We were very fortunate that the host gave us a tour of the house and Chapel. We marked down the listing because it read like the bus was right at the gate, which it was, but maybe because of our age, it was not walkable. So, the small village was not easily accessible. We were hoping to walk to the village for expresso and fresh bread daily. However, we still had a marvelous stay. Orginally, we had thought of staying a month and we very much wished we had kept that plan. We hated to leave. The only real thing we would suggest is to get a new mattress for the queen bed. It was an unforgettable time.
We have been staying in this magnificent house for a week during this past month of July (2022). The experience has been very positive. Everything perfectly clean and conditioned. The room with beds upstairs and downstairs a delight for the kids. Huge and comfortable living room. The fully equipped kitchen. All perfect in short. If you have a large car there is no problem with parking. Nearby shops to do some food shopping. The air conditioning in the bedrooms is a blessing in these summer days. Dealing with owners Doreen and Anna is quick and easy. Very serious people and attentive to what is needed. We especially want to mention Doreen who gave us fruit from her garden and makes a superb crostata. Very affectionate and attentive. In short, a highly recommended option in Florence. Thank you Anna and Doreen for your attention and treatment.
We were SO delighted and completely satisfied by our stay at this beautiful villa. It was even more lovely than advertised! The location was exquisite, had an incredible Tuscany countryside view, and easy access to a bus stop that brought us right into the city of Florence. Our host Doreen was extremely welcoming, kind, thoughtful, and went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. She showed us around the property, opened the chapel doors so we could have a peek, brought us fresh apricots from the land, and also some of the family's delicious homemade olive oil. She helped us with a ride to the grocery store, a ride into town, and when the taxi service was swamped the day of our departure, she quickly offered us a ride to the station. If you are seeking an exquisite villa, in a tranquil location, with a wonderful host, and with easy access to the joys of the city of Florence, this is your spot! We will definitely consider a return visit. Ciao ~ Maria & Steve
Everything it was hoped to be!
With my husband and 2 grown up daughters we stayed here in the middle of June. Everything worked well in the Apartment, it was very clean and comfortable. Just as pictured and described on Homeaway site. Florence was experiencing a heat wave when we stayed here so the Air Conditioning was so welcome. The apartment is a 10 minute walk to the Bus Stop. The frequent buses take you to the centre of Florence for under 2 Euros. Anna’s mum Doreen is so helpful and obliging, she took us to the supermarket and the Train Station and was always contactable if we had a problem. A very pleasant hostess indeed. We would love to go back as this was a super place to rent.
This property is beautiful and well-located - it's near a bus line into Florence but you are away from the crowds. There are olive and apricot trees, chickens and a dog, and two lovely (mother and daughter) landladies. It's a very good space for a family with children. If you want total privacy, it may not be optimal because there is shared outdoor space. If you want to get to know a very nice Italian family a little bit, however, it will be a good fit. We were very happy to make this place our beautiful home for 5 months, and we will miss Doreen and Anna and their families. We hope to return. Grazie mille.
