Stayed Dec 23, 2021We had a great time in Kommetjie! The house is beautiful and just like the pictures. You are a few minute walk to the beach which is ideal, and the local beach is quieter than others that we visited. Corné is very attentive and helpful, frequently offering tips and suggestions for where to eat/visit. These all panned out well and we saw some delightful landscapes and ate great food. If coming to surf, the local Kommetjie beach is more suitable for intermediate level and above. Muizenburg is popular for beginners/recent learners. The water on those east coasts is also a bit warmer! (Though the beach is also MUCH more busy there) Overall a wonderful trip, would recommend!

Stayed Apr 18, 2017From the minute we arrived, this house felt like home - a far more luxurious home than our own mind you! Corne and her husband were fantastic hosts - it was our daughter's 21st birthday on the day we arrived, and she had booked a lovely restaurant for us in Kalk Bay, and traveled there to leave 21st balloons and decorate the table. This was SO appreciated, thank you! The house is a few steps to the most amazing beach - too cold to swim in the sea, but fantastic to watch the sunset or sunrise - we did both. Take the chance to walk along the beach and up to the deli (about 25 mins) in the morning for bread and croissants and time it as the sun comes up over the mountains - fantastic. Bear in mind that here you are a little further from Cape Town - about a 45 minute drive outside of rush hour - so plan accordingly, but we traveled to Camps Bay, Table Mountain, Hout Bay, Boulders Beach (for the penguins), and all points in between very easily. We would recommend this house to anyone - and where else can your evenings include a game of snooker on a full size table! Thanks Corne and Bill x

Stayed Dec 31, 1969You will love this house. We stayed here for two weeks with two families including 4 kids (3 to 5 yrs). Walk to the wonderful beach: 3 minutes. We loved to have a morning swim in the atlantic ocean at 7 pm, then come back and hop into the pool to end with a fresh breakfast. Next bakery/bio-shop/superette/surf-shop/restaurant in Kommetjie: 3 min by car. Snooker-table is great, terrace and balconies: chilly with awesome view to the bay, chapman's peak and table mountain. The owners are cheerful people, provide with plenty of recommendations for your activities. Save area, no inconveniences.

Stayed Jan 4, 2016For a week we lived in a tastefully decorated and wide area vacation home. Rooms and facilities are in prime condition. The owners have been very active for our well-being. From the house it is a two minutes walk to the ocean. The view and the wonderful waves make up for the water temperature of about 10°. Long walks on the beach are a delight. Those looking for the tranquility of a small town half an hour's drive from the centre of Cape Town, are very well served. Attractions like Cape of Good Hope or Simonstown are within a 20 minutes drive.

Stayed Dec 25, 2015My family and I (a group of 6 people including our 10 year old grandson) spent our christmas holidays (including christmas and new years eve) at the beach house, and we had a really fantastic time during the 12 days of our stay! It`s really a luxurious house. Great kitchen with everything you need (including spidery and a Weber-Grill for barbecue :-), lots of space, 4 bedrooms (each has it`s own modern and luxurious bathroom), pool directly at the terrace (great if you have young children) - everything is perfect for a group up to 8 people! The neighborhood is safe and clean, nice houses, not far away from the white-sanded beach. The hosts are wonderful: Corné and Bill helped us in any way to relax - they are always very friendly and helpful. The property was cleaned always when it was necessary including enough cuddly towels! We felt like at home within our vacation and we will come back one time and surely recommend the property to our friends.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My husband and I stayed at Greenways for a long weekend and have been recommending it to friends ever since. With magical views and the beach on the doorstep it was the perfect getaway. My husband had his fill of surfing and I was quite at home with a book by the pool in the sunshine. There are some hidden gems nearby by way of restaurants - Imhoff Farm is a must. The hosts, Corne and Bill, truly make the place feel like home away from home. There was a lovely basket of treats for us upon arrival and the place was spotless. We are planning a trip later in the year with friends and can only say you're missing out if you haven't stayed here.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A group of us stayed at Greenways for the Cape Argus and it couldn't have been a more perfect location, ideal for all of the good climbs. Fabulous restaurants close by - Imhoff Farm is a must. The beach was a stones throw away for all of the water babies in the group. The accommodation was first class. The hosts, Billy and Corne, keep it spotless and we had a basket of goodies upon arrival. Can't recommend it highly enough and we'll most definitely be back for next years Argus.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our large family had a truly luxurious stay at this beach villa. The place was impeccably clean with great amenities and brilliant ocean views. We had many a relaxing lounge by the cosy poolside and the hosts, Corne and Bill, were everything and more of what we expected after our exchanges during reservation. A fantastic beachside family getaway location!
