Stayed Sep 5, 2025Our party of 6 have just returned from Villa Santalas, we had the most wonderful time here. The photos do not do this property justice. The bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas were spotless and huge.Amazing outside spaces, with a barbecue area, shaded bar, and a beautiful swimming pool.A 2 minute walk into the village which has pretty much all you need.If we could, we would go back tomorrow.

Stayed May 25, 2025Fantastic property run by the friendliest people imaginable. It had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spotlessly clean and everything was very well presented. The pool was little cold to use at the end of May but during the summer I'm sure it would be wonderful. We were very happy here for a wonderful week in Corfu.

Stayed Aug 19, 2023The villa was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. Huge garden area with a large pool and a smaller one for children, outside barbie area, pool and table footy, outside bar, the facilities were so great. Also the village was close for shops and good tavernas. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. A top expérience and hugely recommended

Stayed Jul 20, 2023We really enjoyed our stay on Corfu at Santalas Villa in Agios Matheos. The town is nicely located in the center of Corfu a little south from Corfu city in the mountains. Several nice beaches can be reached by car within 12-20 minutes. A few taverns, a good bakery and 2 supermarkets (one owned by the host) provide you with everything you need in walking distance. The villa is very spacious and very clean and can easily accommodate for 8 persons with its 4 bedrooms each with its own bathroom. If needed also 10 people can sleep there and in case you have small children you find baby beds or chairs as well. During our stay (8d) the villa was cleaned once and all towels/blankets where changed was an unexpected but positive surorise. The exterior is very spacious and offers you plenty of space in the sun or with shadow. The pool is of course a nice refresh and turning on the lights in the dark provides a very nice athmosphere. Spiros and his family are outstanding hosts and have truly welcomed us. Upon our arrival the fridge was filled with essentials like coffee, tea, sugar, water, toast, cheese, ham and a lot more. They reacted super fast on any request or question we had and proactively asked if there is anything we need when we went to his supermarket. Upon our departure they even provided us with a number of local delicacies as gift yet showing again there great hospitality. This is certainly not going to be our last visit of Corfu and we can truly recommend Spiros place

Stayed Jul 11, 2023All we can say is truly spectacular. The villa exceeds all expectations, it is arguablý the best accommodation that we have ever been at. Both the villa and the outdoor area are spectacular, with plenty of spots to enjoy and relax. The garden and the choice of flowers, plants and trees are a dream. I agree with the comments of other guests that the property is even better in real compared to the pictures displayed on the website. All four individual bedrooms are equipped with their own bathroom, one the rooms has even a hot tub! One of the bedrooms has even a small pre-room that we found very helpful to accommodate one of our toddlers. The villa meets the highest standards including air conditioning (which is very helpful considering the high temperatures). Having a bar outside is truly unique and we felt privileged to enjoy some drinks and cocktails at the pool, particularly at night. Our kids loved the small pool, so did the grown ups! Spiros and his family are outstanding hosts, always helpful and kind. We thank them for making our holidays a true highlight!

Stayed Jun 10, 2023Despite arriving late at night Spiros was there to welcome us and show us around. What struck us first was the gorgeous smell of Jasmine and all the other flowers around the garden. The villa itself was spotless and very well equipped, even a fridge full of all we needed for the next day. The pool was the icing on the cake, it was the cleanest I have ever seen and just the right temperature for cooling off when we got too warm lazing on the plenty sun beds. Spiros was always available if we needed anything and was very helpful if we had any problems. We were all sorry to leave this little spot of paradise and would love to return in the future.

Stayed Aug 27, 2022The house is so lovely- modern bathrooms not shown on the listing. The host John is delightful. The fridge and cupboard was stocked with essentials and extras on our arrival. Lovely touch. The house was cleaned 3 times in a fortnight- well beyond our expectations. This villa is well worth the money. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed Sep 22, 2021We booked this villa for July 2020, but due to Covid had to cancel. We rebooked for end of September. We arrived at 2300 hours the owners were there to greet us with a tour of the villa, which is stunning and a Greek home cooked meal and wine. The fridge was fully stocked and nothing was too much trouble. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Stayed Oct 3, 2020The Villa is ideally located in a small village which is not so big but still offers Supermarket, Bakers, Butchers, Taverna to make it easy to access at short notice without feeling you are in a larger town. The Villa itself is nicely laid out with 4 Bedrooms all with Shower / bathroom and one even has a hydro bath! Kitchen has everything you need including Nespresso Coffee machine and upon arrival the fridge was stocked with everything you needed(Milk, Fruit, Butter, Eggs etc..). The host John made us immediately welcome and it was much appreciated as we arrived at 1am. The Villa also has good functioning WiFi indoors and on the Pool and the living room set up made you really feel like you are at home. The pool also has a two hydro jets so you can massage yourself whilst basking in the Sun. The location is also well positioned as you can get to both West and East side beaches within 15 mins, this is practical as sometimes the West Coast is a bit Windy and you then go to the East coast. The whole experience was totally relaxed and safe and I would have no hesitation to rebook this Villa again in the future. Michael

Stayed Sep 23, 2019The property is lovely. It’s a very new renovation of a 200 year old house and the standard of the renovation is very high. The facilities are in excellent condition and it had everything the listing said it would have and more (e.g. milkshake machines). We were delayed arriving due to the flight and car hire issues, and despite arriving close to midnight we were met by 3 hosts (Gerasimos, Spiros and Janus) who couldn’t have been more helpful. They showed us where everything was and how the electrical items worked (satellite tv, coffee machine, air con, washing machine, dishwasher etc). They had also cooked us dinner and stocked the cupboards and fridge with food supplies and drinks. They’d even provided some beer, wine and ouzo (a nice surprise for after we got the kids to bed). The facilities were very clean inside and out, and a lovely housekeeping lady came part-way through our trip to clean the whole place again. You definitely need a car to get to the village and to visit nearby attractions. The local mountain village had tavernas, cafes and 2 small supermarkets, all a few minutes’ walk from the house. It’s a cute little village, people were very friendly to us and especially loved our kids. It was a short drive to a range of beaches, the best close ones with kids were Paramonas (5 mins) and Halikounas (10 mins). We also went to the popular Agios Gordios which was 17 mins’ drive away and had a great long, flat beach with sun beds, bars and restaurants. It was another great beach with kids or even just for adults. We took a day trip to Aqualand (35 mins’ drive) which our 5 year old loved. He could go on quite a number of the slides with us and some small ones by himself. We found the water park in good condition and in late September there weren’t too many people about so we didn’t have to queue for any slides. The only suggestions we’d have to improve on this already fantastic house are for the hosts to leave a book of instructions in case guests forget any of the initial advice and also include in it information on the local town and nearby attractions. And to leave a full-size rubbish bin outside (a wheely bin) so we could have emptied the inside bins ourselves more frequently (but this was because we had the kids’ nappies and night-time pull-ups filling up our bin). All up this is a lovely property for families (or for groups of adults) with helpful and friendly hosts. We’d recommended it to others.
