This upstairs apartment is more or less as advertised with one exception. It’s not a stand alone house. We booked Jan 16 thru 23rd. We arrived to the sight of a construction dumpster next to driveway. Once in the door one is greeted by a stairway and a door leading to garage and a lower level currently under renovation. We thought, based on the ad, that we would be the sole occupants. We elected to look past the renovation thinking he was likely working during weeks when house was not booked but upon heading out on the Monday morning found the owner in driveway waiting to meet a tree contractor. We also learned from him that a renovation crew would be working in the lower level thru Friday. We told him this was unacceptable but he saw things differently. We requested a refund for the remainder of the booking and he agreed and followed thru. We choose to take the hit on fees and lose the day finding a different location and a second move in. To be clear, the upstairs unit was as advertised. The management company we dealt with was first rate and Sebastian is a nice place. If you don’t mind ongoing construction weekdays on the lower level, and all the noise that goes with during your stay, then by all means, book this house. Otherwise, you might want to ask if the project is completed before you book. I never write reviews and always take the poor ones with a grain of salt. Some people live to complain. But I felt I owed it to near term future occupants to give the heads up because the mention in the ad of “second story house” might get by you. We read it as a home with two floors. It’s a decent property and likely will be okay once completed. But you will be renting an up and down duplex, not a house. Best Regards, Mike
