Confluence, Pennsylvania
Located one block away from the Great Allegheny Passage, Yough Nest Bungalow offers a riverfront view of the Youghiogheny River. It accommodates two guests with a spacious living area, a small outdoor deck(located in the front), and decor that is modern in style. Being split into two separate units, the front half of the home is reserved for guests and has a view of the river; the back half of the home and side porch are private and are where the owners live. PLEASE BE AWARE if you have allergies or phobias of cats; we have two very friendly cats (Rocket and Slash) that live outside and like to visit with guests on the front porch. Additionally, we provide a variety of snacks, K-cups and and coffee creamer.
No clean towels second night
The bungalow was cozy and clean. The bed was very comfy, and we enjoyed the company of the cats! It’s within a 20-25 min drive to many attractions and right off of the Ohiopyle trail.
The bed was comfortable and the unit was clean. Thank you!
The apartment is great for a short stay. The apartment was cosy on a cold day. The kitchen had all I needed. It was generally comfortable and close to Mitch’s Fuel and Food which was also good for a coffee and a sandwich.
Clean and comfy bed. Could be more private
This spot was great for a little weekend getaway! Its close to several attractions: Laurel Caverns, Ohiopyle, Falling Water, and several NPS memorial sites. I would reserve this space for a couple’s weekend again anytime!
Brandi was kind and attentive host. I wish bathroom was configured differently but the pictures are accurate and there is no door. The toilet to sink/vanity space is cramped but it is functionable. As long as you know the bathroom situation before booking you will enjoy your stay. The property was very clean. The porch kitty for us was added bonus.
So convenient to the GAP and restaurants in town. Great little place, and very clean.
Very clean. Enjoyed our stay. Great location
I just completed a last minute, short notice brief stay at this perfect bungalow! My wife and I needed a quick getaway to reset the mindset and this location was ideal. Brandy replied immediately to my booking request, which I am extremely grateful for, and was so very helpful with her communication before, during and after our stay. Andy was there when we arrived with a warm welcome. The bungalow was very clean, fully stocked and just as advertised. We immediately took advantage of the beautiful scenic surroundings…walking on the riverbank trail and meeting some friendly locals along the way. We visited many of the town’s small businesses and were even able to walk to dinner! Afterwards, we came back to sit on the porch and enjoy the sunset. If you are looking for a quiet quaint spot to relax and enjoy the local attractions, I definitely recommend reaching out and booking your next stay. Thanks Brandy & Andy!
Very beautiful and special location
Enjoyed the bungalow. Welcoming and clean. Liked the location by the river. Really friendly outside cat living on the porch. I would stay again .
I can't say enough about how accommodating Brandy and her husband, Andy, were during our stay!! We wanted to bring our own kayaks, and they were gracious enough to arrange for us to drop off our kayaks, follow us to take our vehicle to the take out spot, and shuttle us back so we could put in directly across the road from the bungalow! So kind and friendly! And great communication.... so quick to respond. The bungalow is so close to a variety of things to do... we kayaked, hiked, white water rafted, went to Falling Waters. We didn't go biking but the trail is right there! Loved it and would definitely stay again!!
Great stop over after biking the Gap all day.
We really enjoyed our stay, and the two resident cats. Dining options in town are fairly limited. We highly recommend the River’s Edge, Which is just up the road.
It was dirty. I didn’t want to sit on anything. There was smeared chocolate on the bed comforter. No where to hang up anything. No bowls or silverware for the can of soup that I had brought. The shower wasn’t cleaned. The outside porch is nice except the two chairs are out in the rain while the covered area has the cat bed and food under it. On the plus side, Communication was terrific and she did allow me to check in an hour early.
Perfect for our needs, my husband and I stayed here for a night during a bike trip along the GAP trail. It was extremely convenient right off the trail with a pretty view of the river. Peaceful. Thank you!
Overall I’m very glad I booked this spot. It was on the water on a very quiet street with a very cute hamburger and ice cream place around the corner. The Overflow I think it’s called. Maybe I was one of the first bookings of the season because the house had a musty smell when we opened the door. (keyless entry…I like this method a lot w rentals) The decor is not modern at all as the description says. The seating in the main area is very worn and didn’t really look clean enough to sit on to be honest. If you don’t like looking at yourself there might be a problem, for there are mirrors everywhere! And speaking of being looked at, even though I said the area is quiet, that doesn’t mean there should not be privacy. The window treatments are all very sheer and there are no blinds! Between catching myself in bad angles in the one of several mirrors and trying to dodge the windows, getting dressed was a challenge lol! There also needs to bed more shelving in the bathroom area for toiletry bags n such. These things are so fixable and it could easily be spruced up a bit w better furniture and window treatments and hooks or shelves for bags. This place should be all done up in photos of the area and be leaning into the whole white water river nature theme! It’s the reason ppl come to the area and this place would be so much more memorable if it did that. Host was super. Power went out on night one and she brought candles!
