My family loved staying there, a great experience to add to the book.
The Log Cabin on Loon Lake was such a great. We spent my kids winter break at the house and we skied at Gore Mountain and the house was just 10 or 15 minutes from the mountain which was very convenient. But the house itself really made the trip perfect. The log cabin was very spacious with more the enough room for me, my wife and our two young kids, and the architecture was just so cool. And the place was furnished and decorated beautifully too. The view from the house directly onto the lake was stunning. I really can't say enough good things about this house and the thoughtful beautifully crafted design that went into it. I hope to visit the house again and would highly recommend it to anyone else.
The view of Loon Lake from the dining room, screened in porch and fire pit was outstanding! There was plenty of firewood for a great bon fire each night, making for wonderful memories of stories, songs & smores! The dock, floating pad and kayak added to our family fun. The accommodations were decent for a log cabin in the woods.
Check in was quick and easy and the cabin was very nice. I took a few stars off because the fridge was not new and did not have an ice maker as listed and some areas were dusty but not dirty (towel racks, porch chairs etc and beds were very soft and it presented back problems by the end of the week), We had a wonderful time and hope to go there again even thinking of next summer it it works out.. The lake was wonderful! Thank you
Great Place
Great place to checkout Adirondack region allowed us easy drives both into High Peaks and south to Saratoga Springs
Nice cabin in the woods... Could use new pots and pans and more towels and washcloths but for the most part it was a very cute place to stay with convenient beach access.
We loved the lake access, large campfire with Adirondack chair seating and in-the-woods setting. Thank you!
The place was just perfect. It was still a bit cold, so we really enjoyed the gas fireplace. So clean, kitchen fully stocked (pots, pans, coffee maker, and more). Exactly what we were looking for. We’ll be back! (2 adults, kids ages 9 and 12 and grandparents) we all loved our stay!
We had a great time. Loved the place. Was exactly what we wanted and needed. 6 adults celebrating a birthday. Snowed about a foot and property owner was in contact with us to make sure we were alright and the crews were coming to shovel and plow. We'll be back hopefully this summer for the next stay.
We loved our stay! Close to Gore, comfortable beds, warm gas fireplace.
Great spot, very welcoming and friendly.
The best place
Cozy cabin in the woods with beautiful Mountain View !
Very cozy cabin that completes the Adirondack experience. No pretense Perfect
Cabin was great a great place to relax and get away. Well stocked with necessary kitchen and bath needs and plenty of other things to do if you want to stay indoors and relax or play games.
The moment we arrived we felt relaxed, cozy and at home. The cabin was perfectly set up and furnished. It had everything we needed to have a perfect, relaxing time away from home. The view of the lake was breathtaking. We had a great time and will be making this an annual vacation. Thank you for the perfect getaway!!
Perfect location with access to scenic Loon Lake, this cabin is everything you need for a stay in the beautiful Adirondacks
The property was inviting, warm, and cozy... exactly what you want out of a trip to the Adirondacks. With so much to do in the area it's hard to go wrong here. We rented a pontoon boat from the Loon Lake Marina nearly directly across from the property and can say anything but good things about them and the boat we rented. Fishing was great off the boat and from the dock, great spot for campfires and relaxing, board games for kids and adults, access to Roku for TV (but who'd want to watch TV here!). Really just a sensational place to visit and get away from life for a while!
Totally perfect week. The house is beautiful the bunk house was a great little place for older teens or a separate family who wanted more private space. The house had everything you could want for a stay. The lake and water equipment was a highlight for everyone who stayed.
Our family of six had all the space we needed, and then some, at this authentic Adirondack log cabin. It was a great home base for exploring the area's endless activities: we'd venture out during the day, then spend twilight hours swimming, kayaking, and listening for loons down at the lake ... pure heaven. We were happily surprised by some of the house's sweetest features, like the large screened-in porch and the cool, cozy bunkhouse. Solid communication with friendly local caretakers helped smooth out hiccups with the (quirky) electrical system and a wildlife trash issue. We hope to return!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We had beautiful weather and thoroughly loved the swimming dock and beach! The older kids had fun hanging out in the bunk house, plenty of Adirondack chairs around the fire pit too! Would recommend for a quiet getaway.
We stayed at this property for a long weekend while fishing on the lake. The house was clean with all the needed furnishings. The screened front porch was a nice place to hang out and the view of the lake was pretty. It is about a 500 yard walk to the waterfront from the house. There is a $20 fee to launch your boat and the launch closes around 5:00 each evening.
Great weekend, great house! Only issue we had is the grass was very high and a few of us got ticks. We would think they would mow the lower level so people could play ball and games and around the fire pit. The grass was very high.
The house was very clean, check in was a breeze, owner responsive with inquiries. Reserved the place for 2 nights, definitely too short, planning on staying longer next time. The men spent their entire day on the lake fishing and was able to catch different kinds of fishes. Definitely recommend!!!
