Wye Solace- Family and Pet Friendly Accomodation

Superb house, we had such a lovely time! But please fix the fridge that beeps every time you open it. Also, It took us a few days to find the cupboard with the vacuum cleaner, consider marking the cupboard or mention where it is on the Wi-Fi information sheet or check-in information. Thanks so much for a fantastic stay!!!

Very spacious and clean. Well equiped kitchen. Beautiful panoramic ocean views. Walking distance to the shops but a significantly steep road to get back up to the property (totally fine for us but may require driving rather than walking for those less mobile). Host Jack was lovely to deal with and very responsive. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great communication with the host. The house was spotlessly clean. It’s an amazing house with incredible views of the ocean and a sensible layout. The appliances were high quality and the location was stunning. We saw kangaroos, king parrots, cockatoos and crimson rosellas all from the huge deck. We’d love to stay there again but next time for a bit longer.

Stunning property and location. Human family loved it and our dog did too. As close to perfect as it gets for a family break.

Our family stayed in this beautiful home for our son’s wedding weekend at Wye River. The house was beautiful, wonderful views and easily accommodated our grown family of four children and parents. The groom and groomsmen used the house for pre wedding dressing and preparation and it was perfect.

The property is absolutely beautiful, views of the ocean, nice personal touches, space, wildlife.What was a great let down were lack of appliances in the kitchen. We tried to get electric kettle to work, needs attention and also the L side of toaster? The previous tenants didn't empty crumb catcher? Also, didn't clean up grassed area after their dog b4 the left.For the standard of house expected, the appliances were inadequate. No toastie machine for teens to make own, no air-fryer, very poor quality frypans. My own frypans are 1st class at home? I did expect a much higher standard in kitchen? My daughters said the same. Kitchen was set up by someone who knows very little about cooking? I am a very good cook & use up-to-the-minute gear. The oven was very good & cooked evenly. Only 2 tea towels was most inadequate for 7-8 people for 5 days?Not enough toilet paper. 3 extra small rolls was gone by Wed. We had to go and purchase more. We ran out of cockatoo food so used all of my raw almonds and so did my daughter. This was ok.In spite of shortcomings mentioned, the holiday itself was very memorable and would want to return. We noted tank water was in use and respected that by keeping showers to a minimal use.I did do quite a bit of vacuuming so the house was as found on first day. The previous tenants didn't put rubbish bins out on street so we lacked adequate rubbish bins. I was satisfied we left the property in a good condition. B Phelan

We had a wonderful stay at Wye Solace. A great house with lots of space and comfort for a family holiday. We loved the location, the view, the spacious deck, and everything the house had to offer. We even spotted koalas in the nearby trees. Thank you!

Very comfortable house worked perfectly for our family Christmas. The views are stunning and it was a great place to reconnect. I had read other comments on a lack of amenities but we found the house well stocked with kitchen supplies. Jack was a great host and was very accommodating when it took us a bit longer to check out which I was very grateful for. We loved it.

The house is in a beautiful location, high up over Wye River, with most rooms having ocean views and some even having access to the huge terrace. Well equipped and maintained with everything you might need for a family holiday, from outdoor shower to games and books and a great BBQ on the terrace.Only slight problem is that you can’t access the property without climbing some stairs or steps.We are sure to return

Amazing location

Loved our stay -the views are incredible. Great property and well maintained. Excellent heating and lots of room. Short walk down the hill to beach, shop and pub. Owner is an excellent communicator. Highly recommend.
