Woodsy Home w/Outdoor Living: Deck/Balcony/Patio. Close to Long Pt. & Lambert Cv

The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, yet it was close to our favorite places on the island.

Perfect house for our family of 5!

We had a lovely stay in this very well-appointed home. We loved the location because of its privacy, but its proximity to the bike path and Long Point Wildlife Refuge made it easy for our family and extra special. We did a lot of cooking and loved the kitchen and grill Lots of games around the kitchen table and mornings on the deck. All in all, it was a perfect trip. The DeWitts were so easy to correspond with and helpful whenever we had questions.

Excellent location for biking, walking, and going for a run in the neighborhood and to the beach. The house has a great open space to gather in the kitchen and living room. The DeWitts were very responsive when contacted.

We loved exploring the entire island. We will be back! The house had everything we needed! We would definitely recommend the house to anyone thinking about visiting Martha’s Vineyard.

We love the property. It was a great location, close to the Long Point beach. Martha's Vineyard has lots to offer in the way of walking trails and places to get away.

House close to beaches and Edgartown. Lovely kitchen and common living space. Quiet area and very bike-able.

We had a lovely time in west Tisbury. The house was perfect for our group; four adults and our two adult “kids”. The kitchen was well-stocked, the deck was great for hanging out morning and evening, the beds were comfortable. All the amenities of home (including AC which was really nice during this very humid week!) and a fantastic location, wooded and private but central to all parts of the island. Loved our stay on the vineyard!!!

Overall our stay was great and I would stay again. What was great: 1. Communication with the host was great and they were attentive and quick to respond. 2. The hosts helped by providing information on beach reservations and permits for Long Point and Lambert’s Cove. 3. Lambert’s Cove is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to and is a huge selling point to staying at this location. The host assisted with a rental agreement that I could provide to purchase the $50 pass. 4. The location is fantastic! In the middle of the island, on a great street for walking, biking, and playing. Surrounded by large trees and very close to Long Point Beach. 5. The kitchen is fantastic! Huge and well equipped! 6. The outdoor deck with propane grill was lovely when we had good weather. 7. The layout of the house is great. 2 bedrooms upstairs with a full bath and 2 bedrooms downstairs with a full bath. It was the perfect setup for two families of 4 traveling together 8. The house had one large tv in the living room and was equipped with Netflix. Great for little kids. What could have been better: 1. Laundry at the end of the stay. On the day last we got up at 6am and started the laundry and it was a lot of work and very stressful. This took a lot of time. If I stay again I will bring my own sheets to avoid this. 2. I stayed in the upstairs queen bedroom and unfortunately it was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. There was an extra mattress in the house and by day 3 I had to move it upstairs to be able to sleep. 3. The bedrooms upstairs have big beautiful skylights but that means at 5:30am when the sunrises so do you. Window coverings or an eye mask would have been nice. 4. The house is all wooden floors which is great for cleaning but not for nice noise cancelling. A few runners or area rugs might help with the noise. I would recommend this property to others as it is a good location with a fantastic kitchen and setup. However it is not a luxury property and I think that is reflected in the listing and the price. The hosts were great!

The home is on a lovely, private lot and has a nice deck overlooking pretty woods. The kitchen and family room have recently been redone and we enjoyed the open concept for cooking and hanging out as a family. Bathrooms are in line with what you’d expect for a cape rental but what was great was having one full bath on the main floor and one upstairs - our two teens enjoyed having their own space upstairs. The location of this home is great - far enough from the busiest parts of the island but close enough to easily get in and out. There’s a beautiful beach very close to the home - be sure to get advanced registration. We hadn't stayed in West Tisbury before but definitely will again. The owners are very communicative and helpful. They were great to deal with. Thanks for a great stay Valerie and John!
