A classic cottage with all the mod cons, Woodside is equipped with USB and wireless charging points. Beautifully decorated, this studio-style cottage is thoughtfully furnished to offer both comfort and convenience, perfect for those moments when you just want to snuggle up on the couch and watch your favourite show on the Smart TV. On a winter getaway, light the wood-burning fireplace for extra cozy ambiance.

Lay out a charcuterie board with some of the fresh Akaroa smoked salmon you picked up in town, then make the most of the seamless indoor-outdoor flow through the French doors onto the deck. Here, a gorgeous backdrop makes raising a glass to being on holiday even better, then later fire up the BBQ for a delicious dinner as the sun goes down.

You're sure to get a good night's rest in the luxurious king-size bed here at Woodside. A generous bathroom, complete with a two-person spa bath, completes the setup for your romantic Akaroa retreat.

Set out for the day to explore what this picturesque slice of paradise has to offer. Pack a picnic and drive just two minutes or walk down the private walkway to Children’s Bay for a relaxing afternoon and a swim, or head just four minutes in the other direction to Takamatua Bay.

If you’re a keen golfer, the Akaroa Golf Club is a 10-minute drive north. Or, just five minutes' drive south will find you in the heart of the Akaroa Harbour township, where you can immerse yourself in the French history of the area with its boutique shopping and world-class eateries, not to mention the activities and wildlife spotting opportunities on offer.

For those looking to make their retreat even more special, there is a private bush walk connecting Woodside with Laneside - Akaroa Holiday Cottage. If you wish to book both properties for a larger group, you can find Laneside on our website.

For an idyllic spot to whisk the one you love away to, look no further than Woodside!

Loved our stay at this little cottage. It is such a great setting, nestled in the bush with beautiful views over the harbour and lots of birds to listen to.

More than two towels would be good as there are no drying facilities especially during wet weather days.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage over 3 nights. The beautiful location and secluded position made this trip a relaxing get away. We enjoyed exploring the local area with many bushwalks close by and with an afternoon on the water with the Coast Up Close cruise. The local fish and chips were delicious as was the pizza at Tini. It was also a great chance to appreciate the local history that makes Akaroa a unique place in NZ.

Great break, overall good property. Great area. Kitchen sink drain had bad smell and was bit off putting. Should advise clients that they may want to bring bottled water as the tap water has a strong taste. View from the deck would be greatly improved if the large pine tree down by the lawn area had a branch trim. Overall did enjoy our stay and would consider returning.

We spent 3 lovely days in Akaroa with bird watching, hiking, kayaking and dolfin warching. Especially the kayaking in Pohatu was wonderful with lots of dolfins, seals, many birds and penguins near the kayak.

Unfortunately we had two cold days in Akaroa. But because of that beautiful Bach and fireplace we spent more time in than out. It was peaceful and cosy. Really enjoyable time watching at nice view or in the fire. Warm and comfy. Highly recommend. Alex and Viky
