Views are beautiful and the home is in a great location. More than enough room for the 6 of us, and we enjoyed every minute of our short weekend getaway!
My husband and I rented this place for 5 nights. It is a nice spacious place. Especially since there was just the two of us. Wasn't a fan of the steps up or down to get to the bedrooms. It has a master bedroom and bath downstairs and a living room downstairs, which would have been nice if our kids were with us. Then upstairs there are two more bedrooms, a shared bathroom and then the huge master suite with a sitting room and master bath. This room is huge with lots of windows. Loved the views all the way around. Plenty of seating in the living room(s). It was really way more house than the two of us needed, but was where we wanted to be in relation to Woodland Park and sites in the area. The driveway is no joke! It is a 250ft incline with a turn, if it hadn't been clear and dry the whole time, I might have not made it up this driveway. I have a SUV and our bumper was scraping at the entrance. We enjoyed seeing the chipmunks (we named them Chip and Dale, of course) outside the kitchen window most mornings. On our go home day, we had a family of deer up at the back patio. I loved the feel of being that close to nature and still not far from town. I read some of the previous reviews stating that the place smelled like dog. We did not smell that at all, so they did a good job of cleaning the carpet. We didn't use the hot tub so I cannot speak to that at all, but it was available if we had wanted to use it. I would recommend this place, whether you are two people or eight. Plenty of room. The only problem I have is the lack of local TV. I know everyone wants streaming this and that, but we actually want to see local news when we visit places.
The views from the living and master bedroom are unbeatable. The house is very spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay!
The view alone was worth it! The house was clean and much bigger than I expected! Deff would book this house again! Thanks for an amazing stay!
Some items that need improvement would be the stairs carpet was disgusting. We had an 18 month child with us crawling on it! I called and had the management team get the stairs cleaned but it did not help. The stairs carpet needs replaced. I have pictures if you want them . Also they had to send someone to remop tile as it was sticky . The bottom level bath room didn’t have any towels in it, the towel holder kept falling off and the toilet paper holder was broken and the grill was dirty.
The home was very nice, however the driveway is very steep. It was a surprise to have snow over the weekend, but I was very thankful when I emailed the property manager, they had someone come out and snowplow the drive for us. Deer came right up to our back patio door. The home has a beautiful view
This property was amazing. The view alone was worth it. Waking up each morning to a Mountain View out the HUGE bedrooms windows was breath taking. Every room was big and we didn’t feel cramped. We loved seeing all the deer just laying round all day long. The only thing that I could even suggest is maybe having more pots and pans and grilling utensils so we can grill. We are already planning a trip back and we will be renting this lovely home again.
Stunning views, great accessibility to trails, easy drive from Denver!
Great location with lots of deer! Driveway is definitely a tight fit with a large vehicle. House had more than enough space for us 6 adults; could have easily slept 8-10 people.
We enjoyed our stay at this house. We loved the windows and beautiful views! We had a young buck visit us several times! We enjoyed the hot tub and saw several shooting stars. Heed the warning about the driveway, however! We arrived after dark and it was tricky getting up, I wouldn’t want to do with snow!!
Wonderful house with great views of pikes peak. Plenty of room and lounge areas.
The house itself was very nice, the rooms were large and provided plenty of space for our group of 7 adults. The kitchen was pretty well stocked, no crockpot though. The entrance to the driveway on the other hand was absolutely awful!! No matter how slow we went or how we tried to maneuver, we drug every single time going in and out and scratched the front of the minivan pretty badly. We could also hear the back and middle of the van dragging at times upon entry. Our friends had an SUV and also drug coming in. I would recommend driving a truck with a lift kit! Hopefully they will do something to get this fixed as it is a nice home with a beautiful view, but the driveway will prevent us from renting next year.
We hand fed deer saw bears and lived the beautiful view ! Amazing !
Excellent location, views (including daily deer visits), ample space and well stocked kitchen and bathroom supplies and laundry facilities. Many nearby hiking trails and community of Woodland has large new Safeway and WalMart for supplies. Many places to go out to eat.
Eight of us stayed with room to spare! We enjoyed our visit and will stay again! Quiet, clean and a beautiful view!
The house was beautiful! We had lots of room and very tranquil view looking at the mountains! Had deer in backyard! The driveway was curved and steep so scraped the bottom of our Buick Enclave a little, but otherwise our stay was amazing!
Very spacious house with plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for everyone. Thank you for your hospitality!
