Stayed Dec 30, 2025This place was truly magical for our family NYE trip. The host was amazing and provide everything we needed above and beyond. Our children were able to play and enjoy the snow care free because of how secluded and safe this place was. We saw a ton of wildlife staying in Wilson vs staying in actual Jackson. Truly could not have been a better choice. Thank you!

Stayed Sep 17, 2025*MISLEADING LISTING* Owners began texting us the day of arrival continually asking for an ETA. They then insisted on meeting us and giving us an orientation of the house because it is quirky. We found this to be odd, and they then told us they wanted us there by 9pm because they needed to put their child to bed (?) - this is required to be in the listing's house rules if a host wants to place a curfew on you, and it was definitely not in the house rules. We decided to look at more reviews of the property and were horrified to find a review stating you are not given a key or any other way to lock up each day, the house just always remains open, and that there is an undisclosed tunnel that connects the guest house to the main house. Again, this is obviously required to be in the house listing, but it is not. When we explained our privacy and safety concers, the hosts refused to give us a refund and were very rude. Be careful!

Stayed May 18, 2025I’m from Sd and my girlfriend is from Mn. 50 year friendship.. A true blessing!! Each year we do a girls trip. My family originates from this area. So my dear friend has also fallen in love with this area. So we find different places each year! Extremely welcoming hosts Theo and Lou Ann! Stayed Aug 18, 2024Was wonderful and very unique. Loved the property. There’s hiking off Fish Creek Rd we didn’t realize until last day. Saw 3 moose, elk, deer, coyote, fox, and skunk along Fish Creek. Property owners kind and responsive, live on site next to the home. Worked with them on a bit of a mouse problem.

Stayed Jul 24, 2024We had a great stay for three nights in the Hobbit House. It is a nice, spacious and unique place to stay. Great master bedroom upstairs and large downstairs bar and galley kitchen and sitting area with TV and huge beams. Our host was nice and very attentive. Only a few miles outside of Wilson and back in the woods but it was not hard to find. Also not far from Teton Village. As others have noted and we were told, it is best for either one couple or parents and their kids.

Stayed Sep 8, 2023Felt like staying in a small castle. Amazing structure and art artifacts. Quite in the woods. Only comment would be a need for the host to check the light bulbs. Took a little while to figure out the in-floor heating system. Loved this one of a kind lodging experience.
