Incredible, Old-World styled guest house (2200 square foot) tucked into a wooded mountain side 5 miles North of Wilson. Our property is easily accessed from the town of Wilson, but secluded enough to enjoy privacy, tranquility and visits from local wildlife. Our home has distinctive architecture which features reclaimed wood beams, marble bathtub, custom stonework, imported sinks and marble floors. Ideal for couples seeking a quiet setting.

The large master bedroom features a King bed, attached bathroom suite and brick fireplace with electric insert. The bathroom suite has a marble soaking tub and a separate shower. Both the bedroom and bathroom have lovely, yet private views of the surrounding woods. A small and sunny sitting area is adjacent and can provide those few moments of quiet and tranquility, perfect for reading a good book from the adjacent mini-library.

Downstairs, there is a Bar styled room which contains a small kitchen. The Bar features cherry wood, antique light fixtures and has seating for 4.. A small dining table offers seating for 2. Light meals can be prepared using the stove, oven or microwave. 2 small refrigerator/freezer combos and a dishwasher finish the cozy, stylish and adequate kitchen.

A comfortable and atmospheric living area is adjacent to the Bar/Kitchen and features a massive wood-burning fireplace, large screen satellite TV and inviting sofas.

The second bedroom is a Queen/Full bed accessed by an enclosed, glass walkway. The walkway itself is stunning and the views from the sunny, safe walkway are of the surrounding woods and mountains. The Queen bedroom is very private, cozy and visually interesting. The bedroom is a short walk from a half bath. The room features a sitting area, a small desk and views of a vaulted ceiling and winding staircase.

Outdoor features include a balcony, separate outdoor seating, lawn furniture and a gas grill. A small stream runs nearby, wildlife frequents the area and it is peaceful and private.

Our home is perfectly situated to enjoy Wilson, numerous hiking and biking opportunities, Grand Teton National Park and the bustling town of Jackson. We live in a small, adjacent house and can share our knowledge of the area, plan excursions or we can simply give you privacy. Our access road is narrow and bumpy, so a 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended during all months except June, July and August.

This place was truly magical for our family NYE trip. The host was amazing and provide everything we needed above and beyond. Our children were able to play and enjoy the snow care free because of how secluded and safe this place was. We saw a ton of wildlife staying in Wilson vs staying in actual Jackson. Truly could not have been a better choice. Thank you!

*MISLEADING LISTING* Owners began texting us the day of arrival continually asking for an ETA. They then insisted on meeting us and giving us an orientation of the house because it is quirky. We found this to be odd, and they then told us they wanted us there by 9pm because they needed to put their child to bed (?) - this is required to be in the listing's house rules if a host wants to place a curfew on you, and it was definitely not in the house rules. We decided to look at more reviews of the property and were horrified to find a review stating you are not given a key or any other way to lock up each day, the house just always remains open, and that there is an undisclosed tunnel that connects the guest house to the main house. Again, this is obviously required to be in the house listing, but it is not. When we explained our privacy and safety concers, the hosts refused to give us a refund and were very rude. Be careful!

I’m from Sd and my girlfriend is from Mn. 50 year friendship.. A true blessing!! Each year we do a girls trip. My family originates from this area. So my dear friend has also fallen in love with this area. So we find different places each year! Extremely welcoming hosts Theo and Lou Ann! Their place is number one so far as the many years we have traveled to this area. 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. Amazing place with Amazing owners! Thank you Theo and Lou Ann

Was wonderful and very unique. Loved the property. There’s hiking off Fish Creek Rd we didn’t realize until last day. Saw 3 moose, elk, deer, coyote, fox, and skunk along Fish Creek. Property owners kind and responsive, live on site next to the home. Worked with them on a bit of a mouse problem.

We had a great stay for three nights in the Hobbit House. It is a nice, spacious and unique place to stay. Great master bedroom upstairs and large downstairs bar and galley kitchen and sitting area with TV and huge beams. Our host was nice and very attentive. Only a few miles outside of Wilson and back in the woods but it was not hard to find. Also not far from Teton Village. As others have noted and we were told, it is best for either one couple or parents and their kids.

Felt like staying in a small castle. Amazing structure and art artifacts. Quite in the woods. Only comment would be a need for the host to check the light bulbs. Took a little while to figure out the in-floor heating system. Loved this one of a kind lodging experience.
