Wonderful New Dog Friendly Home with Views of the Intracoastal Waterway, 6 Seater Golf Cart Included

The home was nice and clean and the amenities were excellent. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was nicely stocked. The host was great and we enjoyed our stay, but, the home reeked of smoke and permeated everything we brought with us. When we first arrived, we tried to air it out by opening doors and allowing for a cross breeze through the home, but, in the end, we actually took the smokey smell back home with us in our belongings and even our vehicles smelled of the smoke.

We loved our stay at this beautiful house. The weather wasn't great for the week but plenty to do with ping pong, cornhole, backgammon and reading on the porch. The kitchen was well stocked.

Having never visited Oak Island before or known anyone who has visited the area, my family and I were unsure of what to expect. We selected the Southerly based on the proximity to the beach/intracostal waterway, the use of a family-size golf cart to get around, and the lovely photos of the residence itself. When we arrived, we were floored at the beauty of the property, the immaculate condition of every room in the home, and the special amenities such as a beautiful screened-in, private back porch w/a TV, a fully stocked kitchen, an outside lower-level w/a ping-pong table, another TV, a garage containing every beach item you could think of, and an awesome private shower to use after a day at the beach. We have rented other properties around the country on previous vacations, but the Southerly was hands-down the nicest property we have ever stayed at and the photos are true representations of the what to expect. We fell in love with Oak Island, its residents, and the Southerly! We will not hesitate to recommend this location and property to anyone interested in visiting the area, and we will for sure be returning to the Southerly sooner than later!

We were blown away with the house. The pictures were great but they don’t tell the whole story. The high end finishes and vaulted ceilings make for a luxurious vacation house experience.The EV cart was a hit. So convenient to be able to use the resident parking. All our future vacation houses will likely pale in comparison.

We had a great week at The Southerly! The kitchen was stocked with most everything we needed which was great as we cooked almost every night. The golf cart was awesome. It was so nice to be able to load that up and take it to the beach. House was clean, spacious, and comfortable! We will definitely rent here again if we’re in the area!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beach house! The home was stylish, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals and the house had everything we could have wanted for a fun beach trip! From the golf cart and beach chairs to the pickleball gear and ping pong table, every detail was covered. It was the ideal spot to enjoy the beach and unwind afterward. You can tell the hosts put real care into the space. We’d absolutely stay here again!

My family and I enjoyed our comfortable stay at The Southerly. It was clean and beautiful. There was a lot of outdoor space and things to do that I wish I had gotten more time to take advantage of. This is an incredible rental! The golf cart makes access to the beach so easy, and the home came equipped with anything a beach-goer would need.

The house is gorgeous - 4 nice sized bedrooms with 2.5 baths. Finishes are beautiful as well. The addition of the ping pong table and pickleball net outside are fantastic for families. Would highly recommend the property. It’s close enough to everything you’d want but nestled in a quiet neighborhood. We used the golf cart almost daily to go to the beach and pier.

The Southerly is such a beautiful home with great views to the Intercoastal Waterway from the kitchen, dining room and wrap around porch! The home had amazing brand-new furnishings and an open light and bright feel and floor plan. The house was very clean and a comfortable place to stay. The restaurants, grocery store, or fun is just a short bike ride or golf cart ride away. We loved this place, we'd 100% stay there again and recommend!

Oh my, what an amazing place and vacation. This house is so well furnished and accommodating. Our family loved the kitchen and vaulted living room area. There are so many cozy seating places, with the front deck, side deck and back covered tv area. So many things for the kids to do with the pickle ball, ping-pong, bikes and corn hole. Yacht Drive is the best spot for a morning walk, run or bike ride. With the kitchen being so well stocked and the nice BBQ we found ourselves eating in more than eating out. The house decor looks like you just stepped into a Pottery Barn showroom. The golf cart, parking and beach access made everything a breeze. We’ll be back!
