This newly built holiday home is situated on the edge of the rural village of Zahora, at 1,2 km from the beach of Mangueta. It has a lounge with a fireplace, a kitchen with dining area and a shower room downstairs. Upstais are two bedrooms - one double one twin - and a full bathroom. The decoration is modern and functional, yet cosy and very tasteful. There is a fenced garden with a large lawn and a spacious covered terrace.

Barbate & Zahora: Stretching from the noble Atlanterra near Zahara de los Atunes with its luxurious villas to the idyllic settlements of Canos de Meca and Zahora, the region of Barbate basically presents one thing: endless beaches of the finest sand and a scenic mosaic of various shades of green, ochre and yellow. Caños de Meca, the former paradise for folks who backed out, has developed into a picturesque settlement, located in a magnificent landscape. The lagoon of Zahora is a paradise for kids – it is pure bathing pleasure. The small Zahora provides the visitors with various bars and restaurants with special dishes of its region. The distances between the house Barbate, Conil and Vejer are about 10 km, and to Caños de Meca and El Palmar 5 km.

Conil: Conil is one of the smaller towns on the Costa de la Luz. The old, romantic city center of the traditional fishermen’s village is under preservation order. While taking a stroll through the beautiful town you can find numerous attractions. There are snug little bars, inviting stores, flower decorated backyards whose walls are lined with colorful Andalusian tile. You will walk up and down winding old staircases and discover hidden alleys. But once you leave the labyrinth-like aggregation of houses you will find yourself looking out at the boundless Atlantic sea - and in between, there is the 16km-wide, white sand beach, which stretches from Cabo Trafalgar all the way to the steep coast of Fuente del Gallo. Hidden in the steep coast are many quaint bays guaranteeing you undisturbed relaxation. Here, the sun shines more than 3000 hours a year, longer than anywhere else in the country of Spain. The average temperature is around 20 C even during the winter months.

Vejer: The historical Vejer, where the past of Mauretania is so present in narrow streets, looks down majestically from the steep hill where it is located. Without any doubt Vejer is one of the most beautiful and impressive villages of Spain.
The beach of the community of Vejer is 10 km away: El Palmar, a miles long dream of finest sand. At low tide the water is so shallow that even the smaller kids can safely bathe there. Behind the coast line - between fields and pastures - there are several restaurants, smaller stores and some hundred houses.

We stayed for 3 days while we travelled between Malaga and Sevilla. The property is in a quiet area and has a lovely private yard. Everything was as advertised and checkin was simple- we called the number provided and 5 minutes later we were walking in the front door. Most of our time was spent at the beach and touring the area.

We spent a really relaxing few days here in February. The house is very comfortable throughout and had absolutely everything we needed. We were lucky with the weather and particularly enjoyed the outside space, beautifully kept with plenty of seating areas and a big barbecue with hood. The host is very helpful, she communicated promptly and provided lots of useful tips about the house and the local area. The location is fantastic, quiet and close to beautiful beaches, lovely local towns and national parks for walking. We had a lovely stay - thank you!

We stayed in March and it was sunny one day and torrential rain the next while nights were cold. The owner had warned us the house might be cold and damp and to use heaters and a dehumidifier. All were essential. The fire was useful and wood for two weeks cost us 80 euros. Unfortunately the cold winter meant there was a run on the wood and none was available at the end of our stay. If you would like a fire pre-order. The house itself is spacious but not particulary well equipped. No oven, a tiny BBQ, very old tatty cutlery, no electric kettle and a small tv limited to German stations-the Spanish channels are snow. Bedroom furniture from Steptoe's yard. On the credit side large built in cupboards and comfortable beds. Hot water is temperamental-no chance of a bath as hot water stops after a few inches; the shower runs hot and cold. Water not recommended for drinking. The garden is large and would be nice to relax in during the summer although a few more loungers would be needed if four are sharing.Final point-this is not a house to rent if you have small children or an old person: the staircase lacks any sort of bannister and is a definite health risk. The quiet location is excellent if you want to stay in or near El Palmar, Conil or Vejer de la Frontera.Cadiz and Jerez are only a short drive away and there is a train service to Seville at San Fernando on the road to Cadiz which makes a day trip feasible. The approach lane to the property is badly potholed and a slow careful drive is recommended. The owner and her local helpers, Maria and Marc, could not be more helpful. Bottom line the property needs a bit of money spent on it and would then be first rate.

We had four full days in January 2018 at Casa Oliari, two good days and two days of hard wind, rain and cold. We had the heaters on all the time because it was cool especially at nights. The rooms on the second floor became warmer when we closed the doors upstairs. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The kitchen is well equipped. We ate out for example at nearby restaurant El Ratito but it was good to have your own breakfast and have access to a real kitchen. We will be happy to return when it is a little bit warmer. In order to visit Conil, Vejer and other sights a car is a must. A good parking space for two cars is available at Casa Oliari.
