Stayed May 11, 2024We stayed for 3 days while we travelled between Malaga and Sevilla. The property is in a quiet area and has a lovely private yard. Everything was as advertised and checkin was simple- we called the number provided and 5 minutes later we were walking in the front door. Most of our time was spent at the beach and touring the area.

Stayed Feb 15, 2019We spent a really relaxing few days here in February. The house is very comfortable throughout and had absolutely everything we needed. We were lucky with the weather and particularly enjoyed the outside space, beautifully kept with plenty of seating areas and a big barbecue with hood. The host is very helpful, she communicated promptly and provided lots of useful tips about the house and the local area. The location is fantastic, quiet and close to beautiful beaches, lovely local towns and national parks for walking. We had a lovely stay - thank you!

Stayed Mar 16, 2018We stayed in March and it was sunny one day and torrential rain the next while nights were cold. The owner had warned us the house might be cold and damp and to use heaters and a dehumidifier. All were essential. The fire was useful and wood for two weeks cost us 80 euros. Unfortunately the cold winter meant there was a run on the wood and none was available at the end of our stay. If you would like a fire pre-order. The house itself is spacious but not particulary well equipped. No oven, a tiny BBQ, very old tatty cutlery, no electric kettle and a small tv limited to German stations-the Spanish channels are snow. Bedroom furniture from Steptoe's yard. On the credit side large built in cupboards and comfortable beds. Hot water is temperamental-no chance of a bath as hot water stops after a few inches; the shower runs hot and cold. Water not recommended for drinking. The garden is large and would be nice to relax in during the summer although a few more loungers would be needed if four are sharing.Final point-this is not a house to rent if you have small children or an old person: the staircase lacks any sort of bannister and is a definite health risk. The quiet location is excellent if you want to stay in or near El Palmar, Conil or Vejer de la Frontera.Cadiz and Jerez are only a short drive away and there is a train service to Seville at San Fernando on the road to Cadiz which makes a day trip feasible. The approach lane to the property is badly potholed and a slow careful drive is recommended. The owner and her local helpers, Maria and Marc, could not be more helpful. Bottom line the property needs a bit of money spent on it and would then be first rate.

Stayed Jan 25, 2018We had four full days in January 2018 at Casa Oliari, two good days and two days of hard wind, rain and cold. We had the heaters on all the time because it was cool especially at nights. The rooms on the second floor became warmer when we closed the doors upstairs. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The kitchen is well equipped. We ate out for example at nearby restaurant El Ratito but it was good to have your own breakfast and have access to a real kitchen. We will be happy to return when it is a little bit warmer. In order to visit Conil, Vejer and other sights a car is a must. A good parking space for two cars is available at Casa Oliari.
