Winter Haven Retreat w/ Private Pool!

Enjoyed the private pool and being close to Legoland

We stayed here last year, and it was a great experience, so we booked it for this year also. We loved the quiet neighborhood, great location and cleanliness.

For the most part a nice place to stay, clean and well stocked kitchen. Pool was a little dirty but it is pollen season... a few things were broken but the property manager is taking care of it - all and all nice place for us to stay for the Sun N Fun Airshow, drive to Lakeland was not too far.

Our overall stay was great. David was very helpful and responded to our questions and concerns promptly. The inside was clean. The beds were comfortable. We bought a new shower curtain as the one in the en-suite bathroom was very moldy. The outside area was disappointing. The pool wasn’t clean when we arrived and the chairs were covered in stains. There was a layer of dust and pollen on everything. We put pool towels on the chairs to sit on. The pool lady came two days after we arrived. And cleaned the water. We were able to use it after that. It was unfortunate as we were really looking forward to being outside more. One of the lounge chairs was broken and those cushions were not clean either. I voiced all of these concerns with David. I hope he will have the outside area cleaned and new cushions put on the furniture. I’m sure anyone using the property will greatly appreciate the effort.

Lovely well appointed house. Plenty of space very comfortable beds andcomfortable couch for watching TV. We were in town for the week college baseball. The house is close toSupermarket, pharmacy, restaurants. We walked to the public landing at the lake, beautiful. Nice quiet neighborhood. We did not end up using the pool because it was not quite warm enough when we were there, but the pool area was very comfortable as well. The host was easy to reach. We had no problems with our stay. I would definitely stay again if we were back in the area.

The house was very clean inside and decorated nice. The air didn't work well but the host was quick to respond. The pool was dirty, had a dirty rim around the water edge. The ceiling in the patio area had black mold on it and could just need to be cleaned and a fresh coat of paint. Other than that it was close to town and suited our purpose.

Clean, and responsive host. Only issue was dated bathrooms where you need to shower in a tub. Elderly family member had issues navigating. Otherwise I recommend

We loved the location in terms of proximity to Legoland, although the neighborhood trash pile as you drive in is a turnoff. There did seem to be some renovations/construction on the lake side that looked promising for the neighborhood. However the home was a huge disappointment. We had a non-working bathroom sink, a leaking master bedroom sink and a bedroom with cracked tile on the floor with even a piece sticking up inches from the floor (under the bed but still...). There was water pouring down outside of one bedroom window from where we have no idea. The washing machine is set to be replaced, but was loud and banging/shaking so we could not run at night (also not sure it would survive the load). The number on the sign on the entry table is incorrect, but we did find a number for the owner to text about plumbing issues. He reached out to a maintenance person but we had to follow-up, only to learn that his maintenance person did not even reply to him so our issues would not be resolved for our stay. We can't speak to the pool as we didn't use, but could use a good cleaning.

We have never been big on traveling this way! We've always done things the traditional way by getting a hotel room and staying there. Well, with Hurricane Milton bearing down on us at our condo only about mile or so off the Gulf of Mexico, and with storm surge levels being projected to subject us to significant flooding, it was time to head inland to avoid the water. By the time we realized the urgency of the need there were no hotels left! After looking and trying to find the right thing, we found this house available in Winter Haven. We got there to find that it was exactly as advertised, and it was perfect! We were comfortable, in a nice neighborhood located close to main roads and plenty of places to eat. The appointments in the house were just right and they thought of things we didn't expect to find. I had questions at check-in and the property owner was easy to reach and very responsive. Though the hurricane followed our path across the state, the house was safe and secure and, other than some power flickering in the evening, it was perfect. I was able to call the owner the next morning to let him know there was no damage to the property. We had a great conversation! My wife told me several times how much she was enjoying the property and how comfortable she was!We'd stay there again in a heartbeat! We strongly recommend this property if you're looking to visit the Chain of Lakes area in Central Florida!

Perfect location for our weekend with friends!

Great place located in a quiet neighborhood within 5 minutes of Legoland and Peppa Pig World. There is also a Publix a very short drive away to stock up. The kids had a blast in the pool. I would definitely try to book this place again if we are ever back in the area.

Beautiful house in desirable location; short walk to Lake Roy boat ramp to see gorgeous sunsets. Loved the open concept living/dining/kitchen. Couch was so comfortable, and kitchen fully stocked. Property manager was very responsive and helpful. Would give property 4.5 stars really! Pool was fantastic to have yet more information is needed upfront RE alarm system, pool vacuum (left in pool when we arrived), and filter timer. Enough info to fully enjoy it during one's stay. Small item - shower head in master bath needs some attention. Comfy beds and bedrooms in different wings of the house - master off the living room (near front door), and 2 other bedrooms toward back of the house. Would love to rent this house again!
