The Old Florida Cottages community is tucked away off a beach-end street, so the walk to the beach is easy and short, with no major roads to cross. Enjoy the large seasonally heated community pool and grilling area with covered pavilion and bathrooms.

Inside, the new flooring and coastal chic furnishings help make the open living and dining area adorable. The updated kitchen includes new countertops and appliances.

Upstairs, the primary bedroom, king, has its own private deck, as does the cute guest room, with a full-over-bunk, queen. A comfy sofa-sleeper is on the main floor. Wine Down comfortably accommodates 8 guests.

Although porches are everywhere, the extended back porch gets the most attention. Ample seating and a view of the sparkling community pool make this one a favorite.

    Our family has treasured our stays at Wine Down Old Florida Cottages over the years, drawn by its lush landscaping, proximity to the beach, and once-comfortable, contemporary coastal decor. Each visit was a relaxing retreat—until this year. For the first time, we encountered significant issues that marred our experience, with the property in disrepair and community amenities poorly maintained, raising safety concerns.Property Issues:• Exterior: Peeling paint on entry stairs and back porch gave a neglected look.• Kitchen: Chipped mugs, random measuring cups, mismatched cookware, and peeling non-stick pans made cooking challenging.• Decor/Furniture: The charming wicker seating was replaced with uncomfortable backless stools and low-end vanity chairs. The sofa, part of a foldaway bed, lacked foam support, leaving only metal springs, making it unusable for seating.• Bedding: The primary king bed had zero loft or support, feeling like a worn-out efficiency mattress. The bunk mattress was equally unsupportive, leading to restless nights.• BBQ Grill: Non-functional pilot light, corroded burners, and grease buildup caused flare-ups. The sink faucet sprayer was clogged.Community Amenities:• Walkway: Upturned pavers to the pool posed tripping hazards.• Pool: Cloudy, untreated water with slime and seaweed; non-functional shower sprayers; flickering lighting.While the beach’s proximity was a saving grace, the property’s condition was disappointing.

    The place was great and the location was fantastic! Ice cream and restaurants were in walking distance. Beach was also a super easy walk! The only complaint I have for the week is the lack is a food disposal in the kitchen. Thank you for sharing this place with our family!

    Nice petit space for my wife and our son. Great location, 2 blocks from the public beach. Management was super response. Cons: The refrigerator needs to be replaced. Cool at best. The upper bedrooms require window units due to poor HVAC systems. However, we slept cold every night. It was perfect overall.

    We loved the cute neighborhood and the house was perfect size for our family of 5. Short walk to the beach and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. We enjoyed the community pool... we biked multiple times to seaside... we would love to go back soon!

    The weather was a bit unpredictable so it was nice to have a safe and comfortable place to be during the time it was too windy to be outside. Great stay.
