Wine Country Home on Chalk Hill - main house + pool house (up to 12 guests)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Absolutely wonderful experience. We had 10 adults comprised of family and friends staying at the Chalk Hill Country Home. Lovely property, plenty of room, but does need some upgrading of the driveway, the kitchen counter and the outside deck. Could have been stocked with more dishwasher tabs, TP and paper towels for such a large group. But, having the pool table was a big plus, plenty of space for people to congregate in small groups and then come together for meals around the large dining room table. Having a separate pool house was great for our newlywed couple. Overall, despite the rain, it was a lovely trip - Birdsong couldn't have been better in managing our stay - Shante is terrific!

9 of us from Ca., Texas, Colorado, Oregon and Costa Rica traveled to share stories, photos, food and laughter with each other. Oldest cousins ages 82 and 2 at 75. And daughters and nieces of the cousins. We had a presentation of our ancestors, practiced balance poses, shared family photos and told lots of stories. We also hugged alot and taught how to build and love fireplaces.

Our only concerns were a lacking of some staples like salt & pepper. Also the heating system seemed to be unbalanced. All-all it is a beautiful retreat in the middle of some of CA's great wine regions.

The house is located about 15mins to Healdsburg shopping which is perfect if you wanted to enjoy the restaurants. We spent most of our time around the pool, hot tub, decking and chilling at the home. The house has good sized bedrooms and a pool house with a kitchen, if any young families that want to stay over there. The house has everything you need for your stay! Many wineries around to choose from. The management company of this house was very helpful, responded very quickly to questions and popped around to bring us some extra items that we required.

We hade a wonderful week! The house was spacious and had everything we needed. The size was perfect for our group. We had 8 adults, 2 teenagers and one child. Between the pool, hot tub, the deck, and the indoor spaces, there was plenty to do and keep everyone happy. The pool house was beautiful and we really enjoyed the pool. The kitchen was well stocked and it was easy to cook for a crowd. Thanks for a great stay!

A wonderful home to have 4 couples stay. 2 bedrooms with kings have an attached bathroom. Another full bath and then 1/2 bath on the first floor. The first floor has another king room and the upstairs was 2 queen rooms. Worked perfectly! Recommend setting up ahead or having your own transportation if doing something tasting. Getting an Uber would be tricky

The kitchen was wonderfully equipped with everything we could possibly need! The house was very clean, roomy and comfortable. One suggestion might be to add an area rug in the pool table room and the dining room. We noticed that sometimes with the sound of people engaging in a pool game, with the windows and no rugs on the floors, it was hard to carry on a conversation or board game at the dining room table. The sound echoed. This is a minor point and just a simple suggestion to make a great place even better! We made some lovely memories and are looking forward to returning. Thank you!
