Nice and quiet space.
Cute and clean bungalow conveniently located in Yamhill County Wine Country. Partner unit next door makes it an ideal location for a small group, family or couples getaway.
My wife and I stayed at the bungalow on Bellingar Estates and had the time of our lives. It is so charming and perfectly located. We felt away from the town enough to have peace and quiet but an easy 5 minute drive for coffee or amazing food. The Vineyard itself is so beautiful. We would have coffee on the porch in the morning looking straight out at it. The bungalow was clean, had a comfortable bed, black out curtains, and fast internet. We could be at dozens of vineyards within 5 or 10 minutes or walk next door to the beautiful on site vineyard. We will definitely be returning in the future!
It is a great location, central to many area wineries. We enjoyed Ballingar estate vineyard and the tasting room which was a very short walk away. It was also very generous to give free tasting with the unit rental. We bought 3 bottles and enjoyed the best Pinot of any winery we tried. My only negatives were there is a berm between the grape vines and the unit and you are fenced off from the vineyard estate and if sitting, it is hard to see the vineyard. Next, it gets very hot in the summer and there is no central air. There is a bedroom unit that is quite noisy, and a living room unit that did not work very good. Service was called out who reset the unit, thinking it was fixed, but a short time later it is off again. A handyman showed us how to reset the unit, but if you put it on AC it goes back out quickly, so we used it on fan mode. Anyway, it cools off nicely at night and there were fans provided and it worked out fine. The price was right and we would stay there again. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, the bbq worked great, and the updated bathroom/shower was very comfortable.
I stayed at this property in the middle of summer and purposefully looked for something with air conditioning. When I arrived to the property, there was a window unit air conditioner in the bedroom. The unit was likely 90 degrees and miserable. I tried several times to turn on the main air conditioning unit in the living room with no luck. I texted and they said they have had some electrical issues with the unit and it was obvious someone had went in to turn the bedroom unit on before I got there. The management company knew about it before I arrived. I texted several times and called. After one week, I called and I finally talked to someone who indicated they would discuss reimbursing me for my stay and then they didn’t respond again. Additionally, you can’t see the vineyards because the blackberry bushes are so overgrown and the patio was so dirty when I arrived that I didn’t sit outside. I would not do business with this company iTrip. Disappointed in the lack of remediation and the unit needs a thorough cleaning.
This place is in a beautiful setting in wine country and very quiet. The bungalow was very clean and well cared for. Very thankful for the air conditioning. Our host was prompt with communication. We really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend this location.
Enjoyed our stay in Newberg and the Willamette Valley.
We loved the bungalow at the winery. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked well to keep us cool and comfortable. Fully-stocked kitchen, and cute outdoor space, just as it looks in the pictures. We’d love to stay again sometime.
Great experience from start to finish. Second time at the bungalows. Quiet location and close to everything we needed.
We came for family weekend at George Fox. Was very pleased with the property. Communication with the host was prompt. Would definitely stay again.
The place was great and they were able to accommodate a scheduling snafu made by myself. Saved the weekend.
We were in town for a wedding and were 200 yards from the venue which was amazing. We had a small shower drain issue and it was addressed right away! Beds were comfortable and the area was quite lovely. Would definitely recommend especially if you happen to be in or attending a wedding next door at The Old School House.
So easy, perfect location for visiting wineries. Was everything the listing said it was!
I had a great experience interacting with the property management. Quick to respond & very helpful. No issues there at all! We were in search of a quiet place to escape the 4th of July crazy & for the most part it really was that. There was road noise during the day, but it wasn’t bad. Not traffic, just people driving fast. At night it was very peaceful & quiet. We stayed in Bungalow 3-some notables: 1) Comfy bed wish it was a king-might be a tight fit-for us it would be worth it. 2) Happy to see there was actually A/C in the living room-description only said bedroom. 3) Happy to see glass shower doors instead of shower curtain in pic-shower had very low pressure but got the job done. 4) Outdoor area was very dusty from winery above the yard so we didn’t want to sit on outdoor furniture-could’ve used the 2 extra towels but didn’t want to waste them in case since no washer/dryer & only given 4 towels. Most homes we’ve stayed in offer plenty of extras. Bungalow 4-the duplex attached to ours had outdoor lights, outdoor fireplace & just looked cleaner & nicer than our patio. Not sure why they wouldn’t make them equal when both sides are visible to each other. 5) By far the biggest fail & one that seems like it would be an easy fix was the lack of care for exterior & the landscape. When we drove up I thought for sure it was a bait & switch! Then I remembered there were no pics of the front & now I know why. The lawn (front & back) mostly crab grass & weeds, but needed to be mowed. There were overgrown trees, bushes & weeds. Yes, it is a “country” location, but the woman who appears to live in the adjacent set of bungalows had a nicely mowed lawn & she cleaned up the weeds in the area in the front & back of the house-it’s a STARK contrast. A little clean up & regular maintenance could go a LONG way. Pay the neighbor to do it! 6) The couch is very uncomfortable & has very little cushion left in the seating. 7) The carpet is stained & May have been part of the smell-I never understand why pet friendly vacation homes have carpet at all. A very distinct damp odor that hits you immediately & lingers in certain places pretty badly. They have plug in air cleaners, but they’re not cutting it. FUNKY smell under the kitchen sink & it’s not the garbage! We did enjoy our stay but for me a 5 star review covers all aspects of the home. Lots of potential, but it needs some TLC beyond the quick turn between stays. Fix the issues & it could be a true gem!
We are now packing up to leave and as much as we miss home, really enjoyed our stay here. Central to many excellent wineries if that is what you are looking for. Property manager kept an open line of communication with us, felt good. This location was quiet and very pleasant. Very welcoming, thank you.
